Hi, i have my new Laptop (Toshiba Satellite C660D-1EN), i used yesterday the FN key and I turned off the Wireless connection with F8 key, its easy, nothing question on that. Today the new updates came, downloaded, installed, its ok. BUT after the updates the FN key is NOT WORKING. Can anyone tell me what should i do now? I can't even turn back my wireless connection without FN key. So i have 2 question, please. How to repair the FN key function?

How to turn on Wireless Internet Connection WITHOUT FN key?

Further Info After yet another reinstall and before connecting to the Internet to activate etc I disabled installing of 'Device Driver Software from Windows Update' System Properties >Hardware >Device Installations. This failed to stop the Toshiba update being applied. Down Game Rambo Lun Cho Pca. Another rebuild later and this time I used the utility listed in KB3073930 but it failed to detect the Toshiba Hotkey Driver update so therefore I couldn't hide it to prevent it installing.

I finally contacted Win10 Tech Support and went through it all. What a waste of time! The person had no idea on how to uninstall it and prevent it being installed again. The only advice was 'wait until mid-August for some fixes to be released and hopefully it will be fixed!' There are 2 options: 1/
I had the very same problem after installing Windows 10 on my son's Toshiba Satellite L7750-S7340 Laptop. The top row of number keys (1 - 4) didn't work, and my space bar would only work if I pressed it with the 'FN' key. There may have been other problems, but I was focused on just the two previously described.

I did all the usual trouble shooting things with no luck, although I noticed something wierd in device manager and returned to it after exhausting all the tips found on boards. I had noticed that my keyboard was listed as Lenovo and it had mouse drivers too; showing the mouse was Lenovo, as well. I have been using a Microsoft wireless mouse (with USB dongle) and my keyboard was always Toshiba.

So I removed the Lenovo Keyboard (and drivers) and the Lenovo mouse (and drivers) from my system. I rebooted and upon start-up everything was running normally again. Try this and see if it works for you. GOOD LUCK!
2/- After installing windows 10, windows start to download and install update. I see Synaptics pointing Device driver version 19.0.9.5 (for Lenovo) conflicts with my laptop Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7226.

Problem is after updating (installing) some keys did not work such as number keys 1,2,3,4 and spacebar. So I enter control panel, choose Uninstall program and click Synaptics pointing Device driver (this version for Lenovo keyboard, although my keyboard is Toshiba) to uninstall it. After that my keyboard get back to normal. After that I get in Toshiba webstite and download touchpad driver (Synaptic pointing Device driver version 15.2.11.1) for my laptop, I installed it and see the laptop works normally. Appologies to all who have asked questions of me recently that I did not reply to. The reason was I was away on holiday taking a technology break and catching some rays.

Ajmcginni - sorry I think you might have misunderstood. At the time of creating the thread I did not have a temporary fix TamDac - I can confirm that uninstalling the Lenovo Pointing Device driver in favour of the 'Standard PS2 Compatible' driver fixes the keyboard issue. I am somewhat surprised that this fix has worked though as I everything was fine with all of the Lenovo drivers installed until the Toshiba driver was installed and a reboot happened. As long as it stays fixed I am a happy man.
