The Rolex Explorer got its name after Sir Edmund Hillary worn one on his quest be the first person to successfully climb to the top to Mount Everest. Ever since it has been a top choice for adventurous people who want the ultimate in absolute functional time keeping. Crafted in Switzerland by Rolex using very expensive 904L stainless steel containing molybdenum. This exotic element makes the Explorer extra resistant to corrosive salt water and other types of chemical exposure. Rolex say the Chromalight treatment on the hands and hour markers glow brightly twice as long as standard luminous materials. The Arabic 3,6 and 9 add to the clear clean functional nature of this watch.

Purchased new in Canada September 2015 from an authorized Ontario Rolex agent. It was previously owned by a collector customer who bought a new Rolex and is only a one watch guy. Worn every day in an office environment the watch shows the usual scuffs and scratches associated with daily use. It has never been refinished or polished in any way, retaining its crisp sharp edges on all surfaces. We can refinish it to like new condition if the new owner desires. At 39mm diameter the Explorer is not one of those jumbo watches you can’t fit under a shirt cuff. It’s a comfortable size that looks a little bigger than 39mm due to the large uncluttered dial.

Screw down crown and case back keep this watch watertight to a depth of 300 feet. The factory warranty expires in the fall of 2020. Rolex has a suggested retail price of $6550.00 US dollars for the Explorer 214270. Including the original packaging, warranty card, instructions etc.

The watch is estate priced at $6470.00 Canadian. Stock #e10898. December 15, 2017 Tudor Heritage Black Bay 79220R $3600.00 CAD e10864 Another great condition Tudor Black Bay diver. Our Black Bay 79220R comes complete with box and papers. Everything is in excellent condition; inner/outer boxes, instructions, warranty card endorsed by luxury Swedish authorized agent Nymans (September 2012) and a seldom used Tudor nylon strap. It’s a very complete example.

The Black Bay Heritage is one of Tudors most successful product launches ever. Tudor parent company Rolex absolutely dominate in the premium segment but Tag Heuer, Omega, Breitling and many other companies compete in the $2000.00 – $7000.00 price range. Rolex have been missing out at this price point for a long time.

Over the past few years Tudor have been re-establishing themselves with the introduction of successful designs from past decades. The Heritage Black Bay is one of the most popular. The vintage look was inspired by the Tudor Submariner from the 1950s. A flat black dial, connected minute track and “snow flake” hour hand are familiar details to those who remember the original Tudor watches from the 1950s and 60s.

This is a serious watch with sporting features like synthetic sapphire crystal, threaded crown/case back, luminous hands/markers, ratcheting one way timer bezel, locking buckle and water tight to 200 meters. The automatic Swiss made movement within the oyster style 41mm case is keeping excellent time. Take advantage of our weak Canadian dollar while you can because Rolex will eventually be increasing prices across the entire model range.

In countries that have a strong currency this watch was much more expensive than here in Canada. For instance in the USA this watch had a suggested retail price of $3425.00 (approximately $4400.00 CAD) and in Europe it has a price of 3210.00 Euro (approximately $4900.00 CAD). One other thing to consider; when importing a Swiss made watch to Canada a 5% duty is applied plus provincial and federal sales tax calculated on top of that. So buying this watch outside Canada could ultimately cost you well over $5000.00 if you live in Ontario. Rolex recently introduced a using their new proprietary chronometer grade movement.

Outwardly the style has changed a little with a new bracelet, a shield dial logo has replaced the traditional Tudor rose and some additional dial text. These original Black Bays have already seen appreciation on the secondary market. Including a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty the watch is estate priced at $3600.00 CAD (plus applicable tax). Stock #e10864. Rolex Date 15210 engine turned bezel $4480.00 CAD. E10553 In 2002 when this watch was new, men’s watch sizes were way smaller than they are today.

Rolex bucked the trend to make anything larger than 40mm until quite recently and most of the core designs today still measure 34mm to 40mm. This excellent condition Oyster Date measures a comfortable 34mm. It’s a perfect size for the more slender gentleman or the lady who wants a classic looking design that makes a statement. Monochromatic colour scheme, simple stick hour markers whisper understated class. The watch and bracelet have a soft satin brushed finish except for the edges and bezel studs that are highly polished for just a touch of bling.

The 3 segment Oyster link has always been the sporty bracelet choice. An engine turned bezel frames the perfect condition silver dial and synthetic sapphire crystal.

This machined bezel is a little more unusual only seen about half as often as its smooth edged cousin. As the collector Rolex market continues to see solid growth, the pure sport professional models are pricing themselves out of reach for many. Good condition Submariners, GMTs and Explorers are pushing 5 figures these days. Sporty Oyster Date and Datejust models are beginning to see new interest especially with our female clients.

These watches look super sexy on the female wrist. For a 15 year old watch this one could practically pass for new. Hardly a scratch or scuff to be found anywhere. The bracelet and buckle are crisp and tight showing little to no stretch and sag. The Rolex Date is just about the perfect watch for everyday use. Easy to wear, easy to read with the added function of a gently sweeping second hand and magnified calendar display. Working great and keeping good time this watch is accompanied by a no charge 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty.

Estate priced at $4480.00 CAD. Stock #e10553. Ladies Rolex Oyster 6804 ***RARE*** $4000.00 CAD. E10735 The world of Rolex is dominated by gents models. In the new and estate/vintage market, Rolex is predominantly a watch purchased by men. The occasional ladies model within the Oyster line is just a smaller version of the men’s. Less than 10% of the estate Rolex watches that we see at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers are ladies models.

That statistic alone makes all ladies Rolex kind sort of rare, but occasionally a truly unusual one shows up. If there are any women collectors out there here’s your chance for something different. Although the basic layout Oyster case is pretty universal there are many features making this example extremely rare.

The original silver crosshair dial with simple tritium hour plots is an exercise in elegant simplicity. The non tapered gold stick hour and minute hands are very easy to read and different than anything current. The most distinctive case feature is the gold bezel with a finely engraved coin edge pattern deeply indexed highlighting the 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes/seconds and less deeply engraved to profile the 1 2 3 4, 6 7 8 9, 11 12 13 14. Great idea for sure, but it really never caught on like the standard heavily fluted bezel. To me, the most exciting element of the watch isn’t even on the watch. It’s the original rare riveted link tapered oyster bracelet. These light weight, hollow, folded link bracelets were state of the art before Rolex (or anyone else) had the technology to make solid links, or connect multiple sections with friction fusing or laser welding.

The original very rare large logo/short buckle is date stamped 2 69. Despite being close to 50 year years old this bracelet is in fantastic condition, showing some sag but better than almost any we’ve seen.

The watch sat for many years in the previous owners jewellery box as she now wears a different Rolex model. We just had the watch completely serviced including a brand new genuine Rolex crystal. At the same time we made sure to leave the original factory finish undisturbed.

The watch shows some honest and genuine patina appropriate for something manufactured in the 1960s. Including our 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $4000.00 CAD. Stock #10735. December 13, 2017 Rolex Daytona 116523 $15500.00 CAD. E10162 An almost perfect example of a difficult to find and very collectable Rolex. The Daytona Cosmograph is always at the top of the shopping list for anyone interested in a sporty chronograph. This wasn’t always the case.

35 years ago a Daytona could be had for a few thousand dollars. The hand wind technology of the early Daytonas was considered very old fashioned compared to the then new quartz technology. Many other competing high end Swiss manufacturers were using self winding automatic movements making the old hand wind Daytona a bit of a dinosaur. As a result the early models lingered in jewellers cases for a long time. When Rolex introduced the first automatic Daytona in the late 80s it was an instant success. The only problem was the mechanism came from Zenith watches. Zenith’s El Primero chronograph was considered the finest automatic chronograph around and was a logical choice for the new Daytona. Whether truth or conjecture it’s hard to say but Zenith could never supply enough movements to supply demand for the new improved very popular Daytona.

High demand and low supply combined to make any Daytona a hot commodity today. The past few decades has seen the Daytona become by far the most sought after watch with prices for early examples selling for far more than 10 times original price. The new century marked a milestone for Rolex. After more than 50 years of using other brands movements for their chronographs, they unveiled the first fully in house manufactured chronograph mechanism. Calibre 4130 had an extended power reserve of 3 days, it was a little thinner and was made with fewer components making the movement easier to service and more reliable.

Despite having the theoretical ability to manufacture an almost infinite number of new movements and finished watches, Rolex has chosen to keep this model scarce to say the least (so the Daytona legend continues). Most Rolex authorized agents go quite some time between shipments of new Daytona models. Even on the secondary used market, it’s not uncommon to see used “entry level” stainless steel models selling for well above full suggested retail pricing. Needless to say, when we get a nice estate Daytona it’s a special day. Our 18 karat gold and stainless steel example looks practically brand new. There are some light scratches in the tachymeter bezel scale, case, bracelet and crystal but overall condition is great.

The bracelet shows no sag or stretch. To our knowledge the watch has never been polished or refinished. It retails all the fine crisp sharp details of a brand new example. This one was purchased new in the spring of 2010 at an Ontario Rolex authorized agency. It comes with the important original Rolex paperwork with endorsed warranty card, inner/outer boxes, instruction booklet, service guide, chronometer and model/serial number hang tag. If you’re looking for a Daytona this one should check off all the boxes. Who knows when we’ll be able to offer another.

I love the champagne dial. On a gold/steel watch the rich yellow hue blends seamlessly with the solid 18 karat gold around the bezel and in the bracelet. It definitely gives this Daytona a dressy look with a sporting edge. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the Daytona is estate priced at $15500.00 CAD. Stock #e10162.

December 12, 2017 Tudor MINI-SUB 94400 33mm *** Rare*** $4000.00 CAD. E10866 Guys love mechanical stuff; cars, bicycles, motorcycles and machines in general. Swiss watches fit nicely into this list. The finely finished micro-mechanisms housed within such tiny spaces are truly works of mechanical art. Sometimes these movements contain 100s of individual components all working in perfect unison. We were not expecting to see a never serviced movement inside the Rolex Oyster case but that’s exactly what we got with this. No previous records etched in the case back, the screw heads appear perfect showing no evidence of ever being removed, there isn’t a scratch anywhere.

The ETA based self winding movement is naturally quite dry after 31 years but it’s still working nicely. If the new owner wishes we will perform a complimentary full overhaul to the mechanism. The Tudor MINI-SUB is the Swiss tool watch for the fairer sex.

A Rolex Submariner at 40mm is a little too big for most ladies but this watch at 33mm is easy to wear but big enough to make a sporty statement. This picture shows it beside a 1980s gent’s 40mm Submariner. All stainless steel construction and all functional utility are what the MINI-SUB is about. We’ve never been able to offer this model before and it’s definitely a rarity. It’s rare and also in remarkable condition.

The original matt finish black tritium dial is perfect, the bezel and composite insert also look like new. The full length folded oyster link bracelet is showing no measurable stretch or sag.

This model offered some pretty impressive credentials for a ladies divers watch from more than 30 years ago. Threaded crown, threaded case back, locking buckle, rotating bezel, luminous dial markers/hands (no longer active) and a water resistance rating of 660 feet. There has never been a lady’s Rolex Submariner offered, but the Tudor MINI-SUB 94400 is as close as there ever has been. It also has an honest vintage look that only comes with age. Looking like an 1980s time capsule and including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers Mechanical warranty the MINI-SUB is estate priced at $4000.00 CAD. Stock #e10866. December 9, 2017 Tudor oyster 7904 $1800.00 CAD.

E9218 Tudor watches have been manufactured by Rolex since just after the second world war as an alternative to their more costly namesake models. After WWII wrist watches for men were becoming very popular. The founder of Rolex (Hans Wilsdorf) never missing an marketing opportunity realised the need for a sturdy reliable timekeeper with a lower price. Some of the cases and bracelets were even labeled Rolex which certainly helped acceptance of the new entry level offering.

Model 7904 is one of the earlier examples showing serial number 108163 placing its production in the early 1950s. A stainless steel oyster case is perhaps the most iconic watch design ever invented. Its threaded case back and crown insure water resistance levels like no other watch that came before. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers just treated the watch to a complete technical revision including full disassembly, cleaning and lubricating of the 17 jewel calibre 1182 movement. A brand new original specification Tudor/Rolex crystal, case tube and case gasket finish off the maintenance. These high quality 17 jewel hand wind movements are surprisingly accurate and reliable; often spanning 10 years or more between cleanings. A lovely silver dial with arrowhead hour markers, Arabic 3,6,9 and 12 give the face an early Rolex Explorer look.

Made in much smaller numbers than their more expensive Rolex cousins they are actually more difficult to find. The original small Tudor rose logo is a very subtle finishing touch completing the very good condition dial. At 34mm diameter it’s smaller than many current watches but the size is very comfortable to wear and the lack of thick bezel makes it look a little bigger. Including a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty and brand new Hirsch black leather strap this collectible Tudor is estate priced at $1800.00 CAD. Stock #e9218. December 8, 2017 Rolex GMT Master 16750 $12000.00 CAD.

E10865 Rolex is an immense company with a powerful influence on the watch and jewellery industry. Much like a glacier that slowly changes the environment to conform to it, Rolex does what it likes whether or not it makes sense to anyone else.

The power of the Rolex brand has defined how the world sees time keeping in wristwatch form. Love them or love to hate them you have to admire them. In this world of atomic clocks and electronic timing with accuracy levels measured in millionths of a second, why would anyone still be interested in a mechanical wrist watch only guaranteed accurate to about plus or minus 5 seconds a day. Why; because it’s a Rolex. The GMT Master is one of their most iconic models that was designed over 60 years ago but still looks and functions just as in did in 1954. Originally built as a professional tool for pilots travelling through multiple time zones.

The GMT Master has an extra hour hand plus a rotating bezel indexed for 24 hours to display a second time zone. The popular “Pepsi” bezel goes a bit further showing the daylight hours in red and the night hours in blue. Our GMT Master 16750 is in excellent condition showing little signs of use, especially for a model 35 years old. A beautiful glossy black tritium service dial is perfect showing no stains or scratches of any kind. It must have replaced the original matte black dial at some point when the watch was serviced at Rolex in the 80s or 90s. Although the hour marker’s luminous properties are gone, the four hands still glow as they are likely luminova replacement versions. The plastic crystal was recently replaced by Rolex when the watch was serviced.

That iconic red/blue “Pepsi” bezel is in perfect condition showing no fade. A new old stock Jubilee bracelet from 2009 has been fitted to the 40mm oyster case. Although Rolex retired the 16750 in the late 1990s they still offer a GMT Master II that looks quite similar. The new model 116710 is priced at $10200.00 CAD for the blue black bezel version. The only way to currently get a red/blue “Pepsi” bezel in a new GMT Master II is to buy the entirely white gold version for $43950.00 CAD. Vintage GMT Masters have seen considerable appreciation in value over the past few years. If you’ve been chasing them for a while maybe it’s time to bite the bullet. This example comes with a recent full factory service from April 2017 (receipt and international service guarantee included). The international warranty covers all aspects of the service until the spring of 2019.

Rolex sport models have never seemed inexpensive except in hindsight. Red/blue GMTs do not come in very often. This one also comes with a Rolex box plus a 2017 appraisal from an Ontario Rolex agent. This desirable watch is estate priced at $12000.00 CAD. Stock #e10865. December 5, 2017 Rolex Submariner 16613 $10500.00 CAD. E10867 I don’t know what it is about this model but the 16613 Rolex Submariner stops people in their tracks.

The bright royal blue dial with rich complimentary 18 karat yellow gold trim is striking to say the least. Large bold luminous hour markers and hands contrast with functional efficiency.

I can’t think of another watch that announces who it is and what it does in such a bold statement like a Submariner. The 7 lines of text and logo are embossed with golden ink so thick it actually stands off the dial in the 3rd dimension. Love them or hate them, Rolex is without question the most significant watch brand ever. Even though they now use scrambled serial numbers to keep production numbers a secret, everyone knows the brand produce well over a million watches per year and have revenues in the billions. Hans Wilsdorf the founder of Rolex owned all the shares in the company. He had no close heirs to pass along his 100% ownership in the company to. Upon his death he wanted the company to continue what he started so he set up a trust appropriately named the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation. In theory it’s a charitable not for profit organization. Although it does contribute to worthy causes the foundations main goal is for the continued dominance of the brand.

It has no shareholders to pay dividends to or share profits with, only a group of trustees who decide how to reinvest the vast revenue. Some of the profits are dumped backed into state of the art automated factories that continually update their technology. They also pay very good wages to the most talented engineers and watchmakers they’re able to recruit. No one really knows just how much money the trust has squirrelled away over the decades but it must be in the billions. There is not another watch company that operates in such a manner. You can buy into a little bit of the enigmatic brand with this classic Submariner. It just arrived from the original owner who kept everything from when it was purchased new at an Ontario authorized agent in September 2001.

It’s all here; inner/outer boxes, warranty/chronometer certificate, booklets, wallet, plastic hanging tags, anchor pendant, suede pillow and wrap. The condition is very good for a watch dating from the year 2000. The full length original 93253 oyster bracelet is showing only a small amount of sag. All the features are working as designed and the watch is keeping great time. Just a soft refinishing was really all that was needed to make it look practically like new. The crisp edges and fine details still show almost like new. These more jewellery like creations of the original pure tool design stainless steel Submariners have seen amazing appreciation in value over the past few years. No story good ones with original documentation and packaging are becoming more difficult to find all the time.

A newer ceramic bezel, heavier case version (116613) replaced the 16613 in 2009 but many people prefer the easier to wear lighter original design. Included with purchase is a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers mechanical warranty. Estate priced at $10500.00 CAD.

Stock #e10867. Vintage Tudor Oyster 7934 $1200.00 CAD. E10739 With the price of interesting vintage Rolex brand products becoming out of reach for most, collectors are looking to the Rolex company’s other line. Tudor have been around for a long time as a lower priced companion line. The early models shared the same watertight Rolex Oyster case, the same Rolex signed crown and even the bracelets were often interchangeable. Where they differed was mostly in the mechanical movements.

In the early years Rolex purchased high quality Swiss movements and labelled them Rolex, eventually producing their own calibres. Tudor mostly used fully jewelled Swiss movements sourced through ETA and is subsidiaries.

ETA can trace its roots to the mid 1800s and to this day produce some of the world’s most accurate mechanisms under Swatch Group ownership. This tidy little Tudor dates from 1965 and was just serviced in April 2017. It received a full overhaul, new mainspring and gaskets. It displays a nice vintage look with tapered hands and unique navette/rectangular shaped hour markers. The silver dial looks totally original.

At one point in time the Tudor Rose logo received some sort of impact leaving a small dent. It is very inconspicuous except under close scrutiny.

The case has been polished and presents very well. The only other observation we noticed was a portion of the regular arm at some point has gone missing from the 17 jewel hand wind 1156 Tudor movement. This doesn’t affect the performance but it does make regulating a little trickier without using the index markers. This watch should be a pretty safe place to start your “Rolex” collection or add to an existing Tudor collection. Robust design, ease of service and classic design for not too much money. Including the balance of previous service warranty plus a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty, the watch is estate priced at $1200.00 CAD. Stock #e10739.

December 3, 2017 Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph 16264 $6000.00 CAD. E10012 I’ve been baffled ever since I saw my first Turn-O-Graph; why isn’t this model more popular? In fact it’s never been much of a seller since the 1953 introduction. There are a few people who appreciate the added functionality of the two way timer bezel, but most who have purchased a Datejust opt for the simple fixed bezel varieties.

I’m sure even Rolex can’t figure out why it hasn’t been more successful. They persisted with the model updating it for over 5 decades until it was recently retired a few years ago.

Although not the most profitable watch from Rolex it is notable for a number of reasons. It was the first watch to introduce the idea of the rotating bezel, way back in 1953. It is considered the father of the wildly successful Submariner diver model. It was also the first professional pilot watch. In the 1950s it was used by pilots for navigational calculations.

Later in the same decade it became the official watch of the US Air Force acrobatic Thunderbird display team. The Turn-O-Graph is also known in North America as the Thunderbird due to this association. Our example appears to be in original condition, showing only minor wear. It retains the original finish with crisp sharp edges on the bracelet and case. According to the “Y” serial number the watch dates from 2002, making it one of the last heavy indexed solid 18 karat white gold bezel versions. The sporty navy blue dial is a little less common and the all brushed finish oyster bracelet is definitely the more sporting choice. For a watch 15 years old it’s in great condition showing almost no sag or stretch in the bracelet. Comes with a like new Rolex box along with a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty.

Estate price $6000.00 CAD. Stock #e10012. Rolex Milgauss 116400GV $8500.00 CAD. E10855 If you have the means Rolex make a watch for every man and every woman.

Traditional Rolex watches are robustly made from the best components available and are considered the most reliable of any Swiss made watch. The basic styles are suitable for almost any activity you may subject them to. There are however a few watches within the Rolex model line that have been engineered for use during some very specialized tasks. These models are known within Rolex circles as the professionals.

The Sea-Dweller comes to mind as a purpose built professional diving tool that is water tight to depths of 12800 feet and comes with an automatic helium escape valve. Our featured professional Rolex is the Milgauss. The Milgauss is perhaps an even more specialized piece of equipment.

The original model was introduced in 1956 as an answer to problems encountered when mechanical watches were exposed to strong magnetic fields. The introduction of the Milgauss allowed scientists to wear a watch while working in strong magnetic fields. Without magnetic protection performing your job in extremely strong magnetic fields would render a regular watch useless or unreliable at best. Rolex have gone to extraordinary measures in order to protect the calibre 3131 from the affects of magnetism.

A special inner shield contained within the oyster case is made from a proprietary Rolex blend of metals that keeps the movement running well within chronometer specification even under extreme magnetic field conditions. Our estate Milgauss was purchased in Toronto at an authorized Rolex agent Dec 2014.

It has been well taken care of during the last few years and looks almost like new. Only a few light scratches can be seen on the case, bracelet and case back. The blue dial, orange lightning bolt second hand and tinted green sapphire crystal make this one unmistakable model to say the least. A complimentary one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty comes included along with all the original packaging, instructions, warranty card and chronometer hang tag.

Estate priced at $8500.00 CAD. Stock #e10855. November 30, 2017 Rolex Submariner 16613 $11265.00 CAD. E10862 The market for both new and pre-owned Rolex “professional” models has never been stronger.

Finding new examples at authorized agents in Canada right now is almost impossible. Almost every dealer I know has little to no sporty models in stock.

Most have waiting lists for the popular models extending at least well into next year. If you’re patient enough to wait you may have to pay a little more than you hoped because Rolex do not honour current prices if increases occur. Garmin Usb Serial Emulator Windows 7. Such is the Rolex market in Canada.

Our weak dollar keeps many of the more desirable models out of Canada right now. One of the most iconic of the professional models is the Submariner. These are turning up far less often and costing more when they do, especially for the good ones. This one is more than good, it’s great. It comes with pretty much everything as new when delivered to an Ontario authorized agent in January 2005 where it was sold for $9700.00 (original bill on sale included).

The watch could practically pass for new old stock. The case and bracelet are virtually scratch free. The green Rolex case back sticker is still in place after over a decade. This submariner must have been used for special occasions only. The case is crisp and sharp with a nice bevel on each of the 4 lugs. The 18 karat/steel oyster bracelet with divers extension and flip lock buckle is working perfectly closing with a satisfying click. Amazing how little stretch and sag the bracelet exhibits.

In the spring of 2017 the watch was returned to the original vendor who forwarded it to Rolex for a full service. While at Rolex the watch was fully overhauled including replacing the crystal, bezel insert, gaskets and a case refinishing. The detailed service invoice for $1271.25 comes included as part of the complete package. Seldom do we receive a watch so thoroughly documented as this example. This type of attention to detail says a lot about the previous owner and how they treated the watch.

While certainly not the least expensive 16613 on the market, it may just be the best value for a solid end link, no holes in lugs example. If you are looking for a complete, freshly serviced classic Rolex Submariner this is it. Comes with inner box, outer box (16613 sticker still in place), instructions, booklets, anchor pendant, chronometer tag, warranty service card (expiring May 2019), calendar card (2004-2005), wallet, original bill of sale and more. E10668 The Rolex Datejust could just be the most popular model ever produced by the esteemed brand.

The design has been around for over 70 years with millions of men’s and lady’s examples manufactured. We see them in various sizes with different bezel, dial and bracelet combinations all the time. A tapestry face is a less commonly encountered optional dial treatment. The vertical stripes are created by embossing a corrugated texture across the surface creating little hills and valleys. This treatment causes shadows to form over the dial when the watch is moved causing a striking rolling shadow effect. It’s surprising the dial wasn’t a more popular option when this watch was new in the late 1980s. Nowadays any colour of tapestry dial is always a customer favorite. The ordinary flat finishs just look a little dull by comparison.

The pale champagne tapestry looks especially sophisticated. The distinctive dial pattern is very flattering when combined with the 18 karat centre links of the jubilee bracelet. The rest of the watch is classic ladies Rolex; 26mm oyster case watertight to 100 meters, 18 karat yellow gold fluted bezel on an 18 karat yellow gold and stainless steel jubilee bracelet. Rolex is one of the few companies to produce a lady’s certified chronometer automatic watch. Model 69173 is no different.

The mechanism has been adjusted and regulated to the same tolerances for accuracy as any of the larger men’s chronometer models. The dial text is your warranty of independent testing and certification to the world’s most exacting standards. The watch is running great with all functions working as designed. We just had a full technical revision performed on the movement along with all new gaskets. A brand new original equipment synthetic crystal was also fitted. For a 31 year old watch the overall condition is excellent.

The full length bracelet is showing some wear in the form of a little sag but it still has many decades of service left. Including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty, Rolex service pouch, water resistance testing results and timing results the watch is estate priced at $4675.00 CAD. Stock #e10668. October 28, 2017 Rolex Day-Date 1803 $12245.00 CAD.

E10708 There are few watches more iconic than the Rolex Day-Date with president bracelet. All Day-Date models are 18 karat yellow or white gold and sometimes platinum. There has never been an entry level stainless steel or steel/gold Day-Date version like many other Rolex varieties. This is the top of the line today as it was in 1966 when this watch was no doubt someone’s pride and joy.

Perhaps it was a well deserved award of achievement or maybe it was purchased in recognition of a personal life goal fulfilled. Whatever the occasion, the watch was worn with pride for over 50 years. Now it’s time for a new owner to take over for the next few decades. The president bracelet on this model 1803 example is showing stretch and wear but is still wearable with many more years of useful service left. No significant dents or dings are visible showing careful treatment over the many years of use. The President bracelet contains 22 links enabling the watch to fit a wrist measuring up to 7.75 inches (extra links are available).

The finished weight of 118.7 grams will feel great on your arm. Its beautiful champagne linen dial is in excellent condition, showing no discolouration or stains of any kind. The original tritium luminous dial plots have all but disappeared over the past half century. This unusual linen dial looks especially attractive with the rich gold tone of the 18 karat case and bracelet. On your wrist only a keen eyed Rolex aficionado would be able to tell this watch is not much more newer than it actually is. Within the last year or so the previous owner had a full service preformed at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers to ensure many future years of trouble free use. The threaded crown turns more than a full 360 degrees before popping out and the plastic crystal is like new with tall crisp edges on the date magnifier window. A brand new 36mm Day-Date from Rolex sells for $31250.00 USD and $36050.00 CAD. Including our one year warranty this watch is estate priced at $12245.00 CAD. Stock #e10708.

October 27, 2017 Rolex Datejust 69173 26mm $4250.00 CAD. E10187 I’m pretty sure this champagne dial has somehow color shifted to a more brownish bronze hue. Whether the subtle change occurred by accident or natural patina, I find the shade very attractive.

Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers just preformed a full technical revision on the chronometer grade automatic movement. The December 2016 service included a full disassembly of the mechanism, cleaning, lubricating, adjusting time keeping, replacing the waterproof tube, replacing crown, new crystal gasket and case gaskets. After the service the watch was vacuum tested to assure water resistance to factory specification.

The stainless steel/18 karat yellow gold case and bracelet have been professionally refinished making the 28 year old watch look practically like new. 18 karat yellow gold Roman numeral hour markers are little different, as this watch is most often seen with regular stick markers. With the full reconditioning finished this watch is ready for many years of reliable service. Any Rolex is more than just a watch, they’re are also great jewellery items too.

The jubilee style bracelet is soft and comfortable showing a moderate amount to stretch. Besides twinkling as the watch is worn, the fluted 18 karat yellow gold bezel is an integral structural component. It’s designed to lock the crystal and nylon gasket in place keeping the 26mm oyster case watertight to over 300 feet. Including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $4250.00 CAD. Stock #e10187. October 6, 2017 Tudor Black Bay 79220R $3350.00 CAD.

E9915 Not very often do popular watches come in that are only a couple of years old. Rolex has been missing out on a lot of business in the mid range price segment for many years. They absolutely dominate in the premium segment but Tag Heuer, Omega, Breitling and many other companies compete in the $2000.00 – $7000.00 price points. Tudor has always been made by Rolex but lacked the recognition of the parent company. Over the past few years Tudor have been re-establishing themselves with the reintroduction of successful designs from past decades. The Heritage Black Bay is one of the most popular. The vintage look was inspired by the Tudor Submariner from the 1950s. A flat black dial, gold printing and the famous “snow flake” hour hand are familiar details to those who remember the originals.

Our example was purchased in August of 2013 from an Ontario authorized agent and worn only a few times. The condition is of course excellent and all original. We have not polished or refinished the case in any way. It is showing only the slightest minor scuffs on the buckle and case that can be removed literally in a couple minutes if you wish. It’s a serious watch with sporting features like synthetic sapphire crystal, threaded crown/case back, luminous hands/markers, locking buckle and water tight to 200 meters.

The automatic Swiss made movement within the oyster style 41mm diameter case is keeping excellent time. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will provide a one year warranty. Inner/outer boxes, instructions and even an extra heavy duty nylon strap (never installed) are included with purchase.

I love the distressed look leather strap. The vintage spirit of the watch is enhanced by this unique strap. Model 79220R has a suggested retail price of $3425.00 USD. Sometime between when the watch came to us and now the sapphire crystal became scratched. I suspect someone’s diamond ring must have smacked the surface just to right of 12:00.

The actual impact mark is much less conspicuous that it looks in this image. The watch is estate priced at $3350.00 CAD. Don’t wait too long I can’t imagine this watch being here for long.

Stock #e9915. Rolex Datejust 116201 with unusual dial $8700.00 CAD.

E10796 For a design that really hasn’t changed much in over 70 years the Rolex Datejust continues to surprise us with the variety of different dial/bezel and bracelet combinations available. While you can only choose between a smooth or fluted bezel; a jubilee or oyster bracelet as seen on this example doubles your options. Go for completely stainless steel construction, solid yellow gold, a combination of steel and either yellow or rose gold and your choice becomes much more difficult. Choose the hour marker style, select a dial colour and maybe even add some diamonds; now you’re complete or at least a little confused. Occasionally dial options can also include a unique dial finish in addition to a specific colour. The concentric rings on this dial remind me of an old vinyl record. Maybe it’s because I was a kid of the 1980s and still own tons of vinyl records that this texture appeals to me.

I spent many Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers paycheques as a teenager just down the road at Records on Wheels (the best record store in the area). The record store is long gone, replaced by a skateboard/surf shop but we’re still here still buying and selling classic watches and jewellery; just like we did in the 80s and decades before. This fantastic condition Datejust 116201 also comes with less common 18 karat rose gold bezel and centre link sections. Not only does Rolex refine their own gold they also use a proprietary rose gold alloy that provides just the shade of rose while still offering the durability that has made the brand so famous. The rose gold contrasts beautifully against the 904L stainless steel and of course that fantastic dial.

The 36mm watch comes complete with the original box, documents and Canadian authorized agent endorsed warranty card dated just one year ago. That leaves you four full years remaining on the factory warranty. I’m not sure if Rolex still offers this dial but the closest current model they show has a retail price of $10600.00 USD and $12150.00 CAD. Our estate price for this future classic is just $8700.00 CAD. Stock #e10796. October 4, 2017 Rolex Yacht Master II 116689 18kt. With extra link $35000.00 CAD.

E10550 Without doubt this is the extrovert within the conservative Rolex family of watches. Of the millions of watches they’ve produced over the last 100 plus years, most are average sized, time only models with perhaps a calendar function and that’s about it. There are a few specialty versions available with chronograph or dual time features but even these are housed in subtle oyster cases of a moderate 40mm case size. In 2007 when Rolex introduced the solid gold 18 karat Yacht-Master II the watch world took notice. Why would the ultra traditional brand introduce such an audacious, narrowly focused watch. Well because they can, and because everyone was talking about this new giant Rolex. The new Yacht Master II clearly demonstrates that Rolex are still at the cutting edge of watchmaking skill.

This is one complicated watch. The 100% in house developed calibre 4160 movement consists of 360 components. All the individual parts work in perfect harmony as a countdown timer that’s easily programmed by the Rolex command bezel. The integrated solid platinum bezel along with the red arrow tipped hand displays an easy to read 1 to 10 minute countdown timer. The countdown timer is a horologic masterpiece with a unique fly-back feature allowing resetting to the nearest countdown minute without stopping the timer first. This enables the user to synchronize the countdown with an audible or visual signal from the race official.

If the regular stop/reset sequence is used the timer returns to your mechanically preprogrammed setting. It’s a really slick feature that could also work for creating the perfect soft boiled egg or maybe timing the ultimate steak on the barbecue. At 44mm diameter this is just about the largest Rolex on the market.

The only dial colour available is brilliant white with blue and red details that strengthen the yachting theme. Our example is next to perfect. It’s also the top of the line 18 karat white gold and platinum version (a first for Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers estate collection). This is a one owner example in fantastic condition. Purchased new September 2010 at a Canadian authorized Rolex agent. It received a full factory overhaul/refinishing by Rolex Canada in April 2015 and has only been used a few times since. The overall condition is excellent showing only minor evidence of any use.

There are shallow scuffs and tiny scratches on the platinum bezel and synthetic sapphire crystal. The snow white dial makes these miniscule marks virtually invisible. The solid 18 karat white gold bracelet is showing no measurable stretch. All functions are working as designed and it’s keeping excellent time. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will provide a one year warranty covering all aspects of the factory warranty for the new owner. Rolex has never been known for being generous in the bracelet length department (especially with the all gold models).

For the large armed gentleman you’ll be happy to know this watch comes with a no charge additional 18 karat white gold oyster link. Purchasing a 116689 Yacht Master II in the USA will cost you the princely sum of $48150.00 USD (just $55350.00 here in Canada). Our like new example comes with the original packaging, inner/outer boxes, shipping sleeve with serial number, booklets, endorsed warranty card, plastic hang tags, bill of sale and Rolex Service receipt. Don’t wait until Rolex has a price increase in Canada. White gold examples almost never turn up; finding one in excellent condition like this is a rare opportunity.

If you’ve ever wanted a solid gold Rolex but don’t want the bold look of yellow gold, perhaps a slightly more subtle white gold version might be for you. Estate priced at $35000.00 CAD. Stock #e10550. Tudor oyster 4540 $900.00 CAD. E9193 Tudor watches have been manufactured by Rolex since just after the second world war as an alternative to their more costly namesake models. After WWII wrist watches for men were becoming very popular. The founder of Rolex (Hans Wilsdorf) never missing an opportunity realized the need for a sturdy reliable timekeeper with a lower cost. Some of the cases and bracelets were even labeled Rolex which certainly helped acceptance of the new entry level offering. A hand wind 17 jewel movement powers this 34mm diameter watch.

Calibre 59 is a very high quality mechanism with beautiful finishing that Rolex also used in some of their own models. The 59 is renowned for its logical design, longevity and low maintenance requirements. Model 4540 is also equipped with the same oyster case design as Rolex with its threaded case back and crown designed to ensure a watertight seal. Although the original crown has been replaced with a generic substitute it threads nicely into the gold plated case. A brand new 18mm soft black leather strap has been fitted to the case and goes very well with the silver dial.

This watch has been well worn over the past 50 years or so and shows with evidence of base metal showing through the lugs and case edges. It’s running great and keeping excellent time. E10141 Something for the watch and Canadiana collector. A beautifully preserved Rolex Oyster Lipton 3136 that was manufactured for the Canadian market in 1942. The 30.5mm diameter Rolex reference 3136 were produced from the mid 30s until 1945. As testament to their hearty oyster case design many 3136s were given as gifts to be used by soldiers departing for active service in World War 2 who needed durable reliable time keepers. In 1925 Paul Perregaux invented a screw down crown system for watches that not only prevented debris contamination but also created a water tight seal. Hans Wilsdorf (founder of Rolex Watch Co.) heard of the invention and immediately realizing the potential of a hermetically sealed watch purchased the patent. Soon after the Oyster crown was released and the watch world has never been the same. The inside caseback is marked SAR Oyster Watch Co. As with U.S., German, Swiss and English patent numbers referring to the revolutionary Oyster crown. When we received this watch the only thing we noticed wrong was the worn crystal and broken crown. Our watchmaker replaced the broken crystal, performed a complete service on the robust little 15 jewel caliber 59 movement and acquired a new old stock Oyster crown. With a new crystal the beautiful original dial can be fully appreciated.

Showing only the slightest amount of patina the parchment dial with rare gold leaf chapter ring makes this watch that much more attractive. It’s in remarkable condition for 75 years of age. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $2500.00 CAD. Stock #e10141. September 28, 2017 Ultra rare ROLEX Precision hinged box $1700.00 CAD.

E10104 Special edition this and limited edition that. What makes one thing more collectable than the next. I suppose being rare is a good place to start, but more importantly there must be a market willing to buy your so called collectors item. From old beer cans to million dollar vintage cars there seems to be a collector for almost anything. A Rolex watch is a logical thing to collect. What’s more rare than a Rolex watch? It’s the box that it was presented in.

There was only ever 1 box for every watch, there are no spare parts for a box. Rolex will not replace your damaged, lost or broken box. Most boxes get tossed after the watch goes out of warranty, they get stored in damp basements, kids play with them, they get used to hold loose change or nuts and bolts. The older a watch gets the less chance it will still have the box.

Well collectors, here’s your chance. I think this is the oldest Rolex box that has ever come to Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers.

As far as we can tell, this is the watch that came with it around seventy years ago. The watch is a little unusual in its own right.

Not too many Rolex watches from the 1940s were square, the majority were round and occasionally rectangular. Our little hand wind example measures 25.5mm x 26.0mm (not including the lugs or crown). The lovely 17 jewel calibre 59 was just serviced by our watchmaker and is keeping great time. A very old, well worn and period correct brown leather strap with expandable section are fitted adding to the originality of the package. Interesting and collectable the watch may be, but the box is where the value is. Try as I may I just couldn’t see another example of this box no matter how long I searched the internet.

There are similar selling for €1000.00 to €1500.00 but none the same. It measures 12.4cm x 7.2cm and the condition is as good as it gets given the age. The burgundy exterior and velvet liner are virtually blemish free, as is the pale golden satin liner that reads “ROLEX THE WORLD’S MOST ACCURATE WRISTWATCH”. A pretty scroll styled gilded pin stripe lines the outer edge of the base and lid. The spring loaded hinge snaps closed tightly like the day it was made. We see many different Rolex watches every day but almost never a vintage box turns up like this one. It does seem a little strange, but of the two components that make up this package the box is by far the most valuable. A box like this would usually be something seen only in a watch museum.

If only this watch could talk; I’m sure it would have a great story to tell. The well tarnished two tone silver dial with Roman numerals has the patina that comes with a life well lived.

The gold plated case is showing its age too as the base metal is showing through many of the sharper case edges. Everything about the watch and box speak to the original condition.

I’m so glad the previous owner(s) decided not to restore the dial and re-gold plate the case. The watch has been sold and is no longer available. The box only is estate priced at $1700.00 CAD. Stock #e10104. Box available. September 23, 2017 Rolex Datejust 1601 $3770.00 CAD. E10738 Classic vintage Rolex 1601. The Datejust has been around for over 70 years and doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon.

This example dates from 1973 according to the lower 3 million serial number. The stainless steel coin edge bezel, original rolled steel link jubilee bracelet, refinished silver dial with thick hands and dial markers all come together in a handsome vintage package.

Its tone on tone colour scheme is still one of the most popular looks around. The 36mm case size has also stood the test of time and is perfect today for the man who prefers a traditional size or the woman who wants to try a slightly larger, more casual look. When ultra thin rectangular quartz watches were so popular in the 80s and 90s Rolex continued to thumb their nose at the current trend and just keep on producing the regular thick automatic Datejust. Today we see giant 45mm and larger sized watches yet Rolex still sells the 36mm Datejust all the time. Rolex does offer a newer Datejust model available as a 41mm but the original still looks the most balanced to my eyes. Our 44 year old example still wears its original lightweight full length Jubilee bracelet. Naturally it’s showing some wear but it still has many years of life left in it. The gently worn links allows the most comfortable fit you could ever experience. With a total weight of just 79.5 grams this is a Rolex that feels almost like wearing nothing at all.

Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers just performed a full technical revision to the 26 jewel automatic winding Rolex calibre 1570. In addition to a full cleaning of the movement, a new case tube and crown were installed plus a new case gasket. The watch also received a brand new plastic Rolex crystal for an unblemished view of radial finish dial.

The new sharp edged crystal and crown certainly freshened up the vintage look. Working great and keeping excellent time, this watch is ready to take on the next 40 years of the ever changing world of fashionable trendy brands.

If you don’t want your watch to become dated, a classic Datejust is the safest way to go. They are always welcome back for trade.

You’d think nothing of diving in a swimming pool with your modern sport watch. Back in the early days of men’s wrist watches nothing was as resistant to water, moisture and dust as a Rolex Oyster cased watch.

The screwed on case back, screw down crown and tension fit crystal set the standard close to 90 years ago. Even today Rolex still use this same formula in every one of their oyster style watches.

International patents protected Rolex from imitators allowing market exclusivity for many years. Their reputation for extremely durable and accurate watches exploded after the introduction of the oyster case. Dating from approximately 1942 our 29mm stainless steel model 3478 has a very rare version of the Centre Graph dial. In addition to the red 24 hour track the dial has a beautiful gold chapter ring that separates the minutes from the hours. Powering this little watch is the venerable Rolex calibre 59. A robust movement manufactured to a very high standard with an excellent finish designed to last many decades under any wearing condition. It’s working great and keeping good time and comes with a one year warranty.

Many of these watches saw service in the second world war where the 24 hour dial with Arabic numbers made time interpretation quick and simple. The kind who ask us to focus more on jewellery items and stop posting sooooo many watches; then there are the watch people who immediately move on if there isn’t a cool new timepiece listed. Truth is no matter how often we post a fairly common watch like this we keep getting requests for more from this vocal and passionate group.

Well, we’re sticking to the schedule and teasing the watch community about once or twice a week with something nice. For the jewellery and diamond folks the majority of our listings are for you, so please bear with us while we briefly showcase this Rolex Datejust 69173. You’ve seen it here before and you’ll see it again, the two tone Datejust with champagne dial and jubilee bracelet. Of all the potential dial, bezel, bracelet combinations this version shows up more often than any. As often as we see it, it never gets old. It may never be the choice for the uber fashionista but sooner or later you’ll grow to admire the timeless mature look. This ladies 26mm example dates from 1991 but looks like it was just made yesterday.

Excellent overall condition showing hardly any wear. The synthetic sapphire crystal is completely scratch free and the bracelet shows very little sag especially considering the open centre link construction of this model. The bracelet sag test is the easiest way to gauge the overall amount of use and wear a Rolex has experienced.

You’d never believe this watch is over 25 years old. Running great and keeping excellent time the watch comes with a 1 year warranty.

We just performed (July 2017) a full mechanical overhaul to the movement including gasket kit, vacuum testing, regulating and case/bracelet refinishing. Also included with purchase is a Rolex inner/outer box also in like new condition. Estate priced at $4180.00 CAD.

Stock #e10572. September 6, 2017 Tudor Prince Oysterdate 7990/5 $990.00 CAD.

E9813 According to the serial number this Tudor is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. Like many 50 year olds these days it’s looking pretty good. The original condition gold capped case is still completely intact, even on the lug tips no steel is showing through. The original champagne dial does have some minor discolouration and patina perhaps from a little moisture at some point but looks much better in person. A full overhaul to the movement was performed by Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers in 2014 and a brand new factory crystal was just installed. If you’ve ever thought a vintage Rolex was out of reach, buying an old Tudor like this could be a stepping stone to that goal.

A Tudor watch is at least 50% Rolex anyway. The famous Oyster case was manufactured by Rolex as is the signed Rolex threaded crown. The unmistakable fluted crown is machined from solid 14 karat yellow gold the same as some vintage Rolex watches. The movement inside is where the difference is. Vintage Tudors like this one are powered by high quality ETA movements.

In this case the movement is a 25 jewel ETA 2484 in great condition, working very well. For under $1000.00 this is a great way to get into the watch collecting hobby. These 33.5mm watches have always been very reliable and they are always welcomed on trade when it comes time for an upgrade. E8687 Talk about a watch ahead of its time. Someone was taking a real style leap back in 1993 when this watch was specially ordered from Rolex. The Datejust Turn-O-Graph sometimes known as the Thunderbird has been around since the 1950s but has never been a strong seller for Rolex, so even seeing one is a little unusual. Seeing one with a factory rose serti diamond dial could be a one of a kind. 20 years ago this watch would have had a very unusual look at a time when yellow gold and two tone designs were the norm. Today with ladies wearing larger watches the 36mm case looks right at home on a feminine wrist.

The 37mm 18 karat white gold rotating timer bezel is the feature that makes the 16264 Turn-O-Graph watch different from the common Datejust models. After around 50 years of production these watches are no longer available from Rolex.

The Thunderbird bezel Datejust always carried a premium price over the standard Datejust. A modern Datejust 116234 with a fixed white gold bezel and diamond dial has a retail price of $9900.00 USD. Our example is in original condition.

We haven’t refinished the case or polished the bracelet. Overall condition is pretty good, the 18 karat white gold bezel is showing some scuffs and dings that are to be expected from a 20 plus year old watch, but the light patina does not distract from the watch. Unusual too is the fact the watch comes complete with original wooden box, pillow, instructions, plastic tag with serial number, endorsed warranty card and all other paperwork. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $7500.00 CAD. Stock #e8687. August 16, 2017 Tudor Heritage Chronograph 70330N $3600.00 CAD.

E10693 Been keeping track of Rolex Daytona pricing over the last 20 years or so? You’ll not find one for under 5 figures these days and it’s very easy to spend many multiples of that on anything remotely rare or unusual. Enter the Tudor Heritage chronograph 70330N. For a fraction of the cost of a Daytona you get a similar watch manufactured by Rolex with the same chronograph function with a 45 minute capacity instead of 12 hours. The Tudor also adds a very useful calendar, plus a dual time function for the world traveler (the Daytona lacks both of these features). The stainless steel oyster style case is water resistant to an additional 50 meters more than a Daytona at 150.

The Tudor comes with similar threaded crown, pushers and case back. Its Heritage designation comes from the retro styling reminiscent of the hand wind Tudor chronos of the 1970s. Original Tudor chronographs have become very collectible in their own right, especially since Daytona pricing has gotten truly ridiculous. The grey, black, orange dial is actually rather subdued compared to the blue/orange version that is also a current offering from Tudor.

Model 70330N has a retail price of $4770.00 CAD as seen on the. Our example is in very lightly worn condition. It is original and hasn’t been polished in any way, it still retains the sharp beveled lug edges.

The additional colour coordinated fabric strap is in excellent condition showing little evidence of use. When fitted, the nylon strap gives the watch a totally different look further reinforcing the fun 70s vibe. Comes complete with the inner/outer boxes, cardboard sleeve, instructions, wallet, pamphlets and endorsed warranty card (February 2012). Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers is happy to provide the new owner with a complimentary 1 year warranty covering all aspects as the original.

Gold & diamonds $11000.00 CAD. E10858 Many people are not even aware Rolex makes a more formal styled watch. The Rolex Cellini is that watch. This is definitely not your average Rolex oyster Datejust. The name comes from Benvenuto Cellini who was a master goldsmith during the Italian renaissance period in the 1500s at the time of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.

Now in our 60th year of business in the same Downtown Barrie location we have never offered an estate Cellini before. What a way to showcase our first one with this beautiful and rare Cellisima model 6673/9. The solid 18 karat white gold case is decorated with 241 pave set diamonds in the bezel and lugs. 18 karat white gold Roman numeral hour markers and highly polished hands contrast with excellent legibility against the white mother of pearl face. The textured dial displays subtle iridescent pastel colours as the watch is worn.

There are lots of pretty watch faces out there but no one makes a nicer dial than Rolex do. Manufactured in 2005 the one owner watch displays minor evidence of wear in the form of small scratches on the case and a couple of tiny scuffs on the sapphire crystal. The genuine Rolex blue crocodile strap is in good condition but again is showing signs of use. The 18 karat white gold deployment buckle is working great and securely keeps the strap closed tight.

At 26.5mm diameter the watch is a very comfortable size that looks classy but doesn’t overtake your entire arm. The Swiss made Rolex designed quartz movement is working flawlessly keeping excellent time. 100% original and complete, the watch comes with everything from the day it was originally purchased on December 20 2006. Original bill of sale, certificate of appraisal, inner/outer boxes, instructions, brochure, plastic hang tag, warranty card and all other paperwork come included along with a complimentary one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty.

The vintage look was inspired by the Tudor Submariner from the 1950s. A flat black dial, connected minute track and the “snow flake” hour hand are familiar details to those who remember the original Tudor watches from the 1950s and 60s. This is a serious watch with sporting features like synthetic sapphire crystal, threaded crown/case back, luminous hands/markers, ratcheting one way timer bezel, locking buckle and water tight to 200 meters. The automatic Swiss made movement within the oyster style 41mm diameter case is keeping excellent time.

Take advantage of our weak Canadian dollar while you can because sooner or later Rolex will increase prices across the entire model range in Canada. In countries that have a strong currency this watch is much more expensive than domestically. For instance in the U.S. This watch has a suggested retail price of $3425.00 (approximately $4600.00 CAD) and in Europe it has a price of 3210.00 Euro (approximately $4550.00 CAD). One other thing to consider; when importing a Swiss made watch to Canada a 5% duty is applied plus provincial and federal sales tax calculated on top of that. So buying this watch in the USA while you’re on holidays could ultimately cost you well over $5000.00 if you live in Ontario.

Including Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty the watch is estate priced at $3500.00 CAD (plus applicable tax). Stock #e10432.

August 6, 2017 Rolex Submariner 116610LN $8925.00 CAD. E10811 Just a black dial with contrasting white hands and a two way rotating bezel for measuring elapsed time. In more than 60 years of production the Submariner formula has changed very little. Many early examples now trade hands for more than 100 times their original price. The simple glossy black dial with luminous hands and markers makes for a most purposeful design. If ever there was a blue chip collectable watch the Rolex Submariner is it.

Like any blue chip stock they always appear expensive when you first consider purchasing and they never go sale. As the years go by and they continually appreciate in value you realize you should have bought one a long time ago. With our weak Canadian dollar they are difficult to find either new or used. Most examples are being diverted to the States for sale with a much stronger USD.

Our latest Submariner example was originally delivered in Canada to an official Rolex agent in the spring of 2014. Being an original Canadian delivered watch and coming with the original bill of sale you can be confident the taxes have been paid. You can travel hassle free across the border should a customs agent ask you to prove the appropriate Canadian tax was paid and wasn’t smuggled into the country. Overall condition is very good, exhibiting subtle evidence of use in the form of small scuffs on the case and bracelet. This one owner watch still has some of the protective plastic on the buckle. The watch has never been polished or refinished in any way. It still retains the original finish so coveted by collectors.

Inner/outer box, instruction booklet, original warranty card, all paperwork, price tags, hanging chronometer seal and even the cardboard sleeve come included with purchase. Working like new and keeping great time the watch is estate priced at $8925.00 CAD. Stock #e10811. July 30, 2017 Rolex Datejust 16013 with factory diamond dial $6000.00 CAD. E10174 A vintage classic. At 30 years old this Rolex Datejust is just entering the vintage era, although it really doesn’t look much different than a brand new Rolex Datejust current version of this watch.

The $14800.00 suggested retail price of brand new is certainly noticeable. There are of course a few design and technical differences. This watch comes with a plastic crystal where the new watch is equipped with a synthetic sapphire version. Solid bracelet links, wider polished lugs, concealed clasp are a couple other visual differences. These subtle changes will go unnoticed to all but the true watch geeks in the crowd. As with all Rolex watches past and present, only the finest components are used.

Dazzling round single cut diamonds plot out the hours, framed in proprietary 18 karat yellow that the Rolex factory alloys and manufactures all in house. Beautiful raised gold text on the jet black dial speak class and luxury in the same format that Rolex have been using on the Datejust since first introduced in the 1940s. For 30 years old, the watch is in very good condition.

It displays the sort of wear one would expect for a watch that was carefully worn with pride. The sharp fluting on the bezel has softened slightly and the 18 karat gold/stainless steel jubilee bracelet shows some sag but has many decades of life left. The jubilee bracelet is by far the most comfortable style offered by Rolex.

A little play in the links makes them even more comfy. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $6000.00 CAD. Stock #e10174. July 28, 2017 Rolex Day-Date OysterQuartz 19018 $13100.00 CAD. E10709 In the 1970s Rolex decided to join the world of ultra accurate electronic battery operated quartz watches and manufactured their own in house developed movement.

The public received this new Rolex with a lukewarm reception at best. It was a slow selling model but managed to stick around until approximately the year 2000 when it was quietly retired. It has been estimated that only around 25000 Oysterquartz watches were produced during the entire 25 year production run, making it one of the rarest regular production Rolex watches. We’ve seen a few stainless steel examples and the occasional two tone Datejust OysterQuartz turns up around here, but showcasing one of the very scarce 18 karat gold Day-Date models is truly a privilege. Rolex doesn’t ever speak about production numbers but one can speculate that of the total number of OysterQuartz watches produced only a small percentage would have been the top of the line 18 karat gold DAY-DATE versions. This is one Rolex that can truly be considered quite rare. We’ve only ever seen a couple other all 18 karat gold Oysterquartz in person before. If you’ve always wanted a Rolex but also want one that actually keeps extremely accurate time as well, the Oysterquartz is for you. Rolex took extraordinary measures to make their quartz watch better and more accurate than any other available.

A sensor found within the movement samples ambient temperature and adjusts the frequency of the quartz crystal accordingly. The fully jewelled Oysterquartz movement is widely considered the finest electronic movement ever produced in terms of robust design, finish and durability.

Our example was manufactured in 1982 according to a number in independent serial number database lists. It features the iconic Rolex fluted bezel and a slightly more unusual radial finish black dial making for a very sophisticated look. The OysterQuartz wasn’t a low cost alternative to the traditional automatic perpetual movement.

We have an old price list from the fall of 1999 showing the all gold OysterQuartz with a retail price of $24490.00, only $190.00 less than its very common automatic sibling. Overall condition is very good, there is some stretch and sag in the bracelet as to be expected for a 35 year old watch. This watch could pass just a few years old. The fluted bezel still shows fairly crisp and sharp. At 36mm diameter the thick, heavy, square flat top Oyster case with flat link bracelet still look very modern today. The 18 karat gold links on the integrated bracelet are all of heavy gauge construction. 24 links in the bracelet allow a total length of just over 7 1/2 inches (extra links are available if you have a larger than average wrist size).

This is a very heavy watch weighing over 145 grams. An automatic Day-Date from the same era only weighs around 125 grams. Those familiar with the brand will quickly realize just how rare a watch like this is. If this watch tweaks some interest visit for more information on the remarkable Oysterquartz and a little bit of its history. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will include a one year complimentary mechanical warranty with purchase for added piece of mind. These almost forgotten Oyster quartz watches are really cool and need to be seen in person to truly appreciate their quality. Own a rare piece of Rolex history for the estate price of $13100.00 CAD.

E10571 The more Rolex dials you see the more you realize just how many different hues and shades are possible for as something as basic as a “silver” face. As soon as I saw this 1980 Rolex Oyster Date 1500 I instantly fell for the beautiful greyish/bronze colour. The colour is different than any other I’ve seen. When it comes to pretty dials with interesting textures, finishes and colours no one does it better than Rolex. From the radial spinning effect as seen on this example to the perfection of the raised text and flawless hour markers in their various forms. These dials are remarkable little works of art.

The rest of the 34mm Oyster is pretty textbook Rolex from the era. Plastic crystal with date magnifier, threaded case back/crown and a smooth bezel. The stainless steel Jubilee bracelet is an interesting and rare version.

Believe it or not there was a time when Rolex manufactured some of their bracelets (or at least labeled them) HECKO EN MEXICO. It’s speculated this was done to avoid American import taxes that made an already expensive Rolex even more costly in the Americas.

This is our first example of such an unusual oval link bracelet and it’s in really good shape showing only moderate stretch. The total amount of available length is just short of 8 inches making this bracelet suitable to fit almost anyone. At 34mm case size this watch truly is suitable for anyone. Looks great on a thinner gentleman’s wrist and it looks fantastic on any ladies arm. Included with purchase is a vintage Seahorse Rolex box (not original to watch) and a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty. Estate price $4000.00. Stock #e10571. July 4, 2017 Rolex Submariner 16610 $8000.00 CAD ***tax included***.

E10580 For over 60 years the Rolex Submariner has been a watch respected and desired by watch collectors and aficionados alike. Perhaps it’s due to the Submariners connection to Hollywood celebrities Sean Connery and Steve McQueen, maybe for it’s connection to music legends Eric Clapton and Bruce Springsteen. The submariner was also connected to undersea explorer Jacques Cousteau. Possibly because it’s universally considered to be the greatest tool watch of all time. There are many other dive watches on the market but Rolex says it best “from the top of the world, to the bottom of the sea, Rolex proves dependable”. The popularity of Rolex and specifically the Submariner has grown so greatly in the last few year an entire industry has evolved out of customizing them with custom leather and rubber straps, unique dials and even hand engraved cases. Our Rolex Submariner Date 16610 is pure Rolex, the L serial numbers date our watch to 1989. The original paperwork shows it was sold in Canada’s own Birks Jewellers Ottawa in 1990. This is a complete set and our watch comes with original box, papers and even its original warranty from Birks. It contains no aftermarket parts and has recently undergone a complete service in November 2016 at Howards Jewellers in Ottawa (our Nation’s capital’s only Rolex Dealer).

It’s running beautifully and still has a service warranty until November 2018. The bezel insert was replaced, a new crown/tube installed as well as a new sapphire crystal ensuring the watch remains waterproof and as pristine as when it left the factory 27 years ago. The 16610 Rolex was the longest produced Submariner model ever. Despite its long production run, excellent and complete examples are becoming difficult to find. Since being replaced with the new ceramic bezel version 116610, these older models became instantly collectable. Great overall condition and keeping fantastic time, this watch is ready for it’s next 3 decades. Estate priced at $8000.00 INCLUDING TAX. Stock #e10580 SOLD.

July 2, 2017 Tudor Heritage Black Bay 79220R $3600.00 CAD. E10544 Another great condition Tudor Black Bay diver. Our Black Bay 79220R comes complete with box and papers. Everything is in excellent condition; inner/outer boxes, instructions, warranty card endorsed by Canadian authorized agent Brinkhaus (March 2015) and a seldom used Tudor nylon strap.

The automatic Swiss made movement within the oyster style 41mm case is keeping excellent time.Take advantage of our weak Canadian dollar while you can because Rolex will eventually be increasing prices across the entire model range. In countries that have a strong currency this watch was much more expensive than here in Canada.

For instance in the USA this watch had a suggested retail price of $3425.00 (approximately $4430.00 CAD) and in Europe it has a price of 3210.00 Euro (approximately $4150.00 CAD). One other thing to consider; when importing a Swiss made watch to Canada a 5% duty is applied plus provincial and federal sales tax calculated on top of that.

So buying this watch in the USA could ultimately cost you around $5250.00 if you live in Ontario.

E9405 All original, seldom worn and previously owned by an 85 year old gentleman. It may sound like a dubious classified ad for a used car but it’s all true. I know because I sold this watch to that same gentleman more than 2 decades ago. A watch collector for most of his life, the time has come to sell some of his collection in an effort to simplify his lifestyle. What made this 36mm Datejust so attractive originally holds true today; clean and simple white dial with basic Arabic numbers. Upon closer inspection it’s just not a white dial but a “jubilee” dial. This image reveals an amazing pattern of embossed printing spelling out ROLEXROLEXROLEX. Across every square millimetre of empty space. This rare dial is seldom seen with the small text and chronometer details. Later examples of the jubilee dial simply read ROLEX DATEJUST. The watch exhibits its original finish, it has never been polished in any way.

Every edge and detail is crisp and sharp. According to previous owner the watch was only worn a few dozen times in the more that 20 years of his ownership. Replacement value of 16200 with the current model 116200 is $6700.00 USD. There is no current Jubilee style dial offered by Rolex making this excellent condition example rare and collectable. A few minor scuffs can be seen on the polished bezel and buckle but nothing significant.

Comes complete with the original box lacking paperwork. Our Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty is included for the estate priced of $6000.00 CAD. Stock #e9405. June 30, 2017 Rolex Yacht-Master 116622 Rhodium/Sky Blue $12400.00.

E10694 Sometimes a weak Canadian dollar is actually a good thing. For several years now the Canadian dollar has been significantly lower compared to the U.S. International brands like Rolex usually have price adjustments in local currencies to keep their products priced close in dollar adjusted terms all over the world. Canadian authorized agents and customers have speculated for quite a while that Rolex is about to increase prices in Canada to compensate for the weak currency. Well it still hasn’t happened making Rolex products in Canada among the lowest priced in the world. That doesn’t mean buying a Rolex watch isn’t expensive. It just means buying one here is at least 10% less costly compared to buying one in the U.S.A.

That all sounds fine and dandy but many models are very difficult to find in Canada as Rolex diverts shipments to more lucrative markets such as the U.S. Or selling locally in Switzerland. All the most popular gents professional models are scarce here and usually available only by placing your name on a waiting list that can extend over a year in many cases. We’ve noticed the scarcity too.

The sporting models like the Submariner, Daytona, GMT II Master, Explorer, Yacht-Master etc. Almost never show up like they used to. When a sporty does show up it’s a real treat. When a super hot almost impossible to find model like the new Yacht-Master 116622 turns up that’s only 8 months old, we think we must be dreaming. This is the first Rhodium dial with sky blue accents we’ve ever had.

The 40mm case size is the same as a Submariner and the traditional size of all the professional series of Rolex watches. It was purchased at a Toronto authorized agent in January 2017 by an avid watch aficionado collector customer of ours. The watch saw hardly any wrist time as he has many other watches that get used in rotation. The condition can only be described as like new.

The case, bezel and bracelet are virtually blemish free. Only the back of the buckle and adjacent link have a small scratch. This watch has never been polished or refinished in any way. It comes complete with the full compliment of adjusting links, original inner/outer box, white cardboard sleeve, endorsed authorized agent 5 year warranty, instructions and paper hang tag. This watch has a USD retail price of $11550.00 and a Canadian retail price of $13250.00. As a final measure of reassurance the watch was submitted to Rolex Canada for a authenticity verification August 8 2017. Their $200.00 inspection report is included with purchase. Although the official Rolex warranty was initiated in January 2017 Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will supply a full 5 year warranty from date of purchase. Estate priced at $12400.00 CAD. June 19, 2017 Rolex Datejust 116200 $5988.00 CAD. E10663 This just might be the “universal watch”. What I mean by that is, it could be the perfect watch for any/all occasions. Part of this includes the fact that yes it’s a Rolex too. Being a Rolex means it’s more than just a basic machine to tell you the time.

It’s a tradition of excellence and achievement going back well over 100 years. World explorers, heads of state, international celebrities, captains of industry to professionals of all walks of life; wearing a Rolex watch is as much a lifestyle statement as it is the best tool to get the job done. A black dial 36mm Datejust really can do it all. The oyster case was a ground breaking advancement in making watches watertight.

Rolex states: “Invented by Rolex in 1926, it was the world’s first waterproof case for a wristwatch thanks to its patented system of screwing down the bezel, case back and winding crown against the middle case. A symbol of robustness and water resistance, this perfectly proportioned and elegant watch case is a superb blend of form and function”. Ultra dressy with a tuxedo on your wedding day or kickin back on the deck with your buddies this watch always looks great. The case and bracelet are crafted exclusively from 904L stainless. 316L stainless is the industry standard for high quality watches, it works great and offers excellent resistance to corrosion but Rolex demand better.

In 1985 they were the first watch manufacturer to use 904L. It offers an even higher level of protection from almost all types of chemicals and corrosion. It produces a beautiful polish and sheen but it is more difficult to machine. Rolex had to produce its own special tools and processes in order to properly work with 904L steel. This watch was purchased in Italy in October 2016 and is in 100% original condition.

It shows evidence of less than one year of intermittent use by the previous owner. Small scratches on the case and bracelet are present. We have elected to leave the factory finish alone.

If you wish, our goldsmiths can polish and refinish the case to like new condition if you want the watch to look perfect. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will honor the full 5 year factory warranty balance in place until October 2021. Comes complete with original box, cardboard sleeve, instructions, booklets and warranty card. Estate priced at $5988.00 CAD. Stock #e10663. June 15, 2017 Ladies Rolex Datejust 79173 Tapestry dial $4890.00 CAD. E10555 The Rolex Datejust could just be the most popular model the esteemed brand has ever produced.

The design has been around for over 70 years with millions of men’s and lady’s examples manufactured. We see them in various sizes with different bezel, dial and bracelet combinations all the time. A tapestry face is a less often encountered optional dial treatment. The vertical stripes are created by embossing a corrugated texture across the surface creating little hills and valleys. This treatment causes shadows to form over the dial when the watch is moved, resulting in a striking rolling shadow effect.

It’s surprising the dial wasn’t a more popular option when this watch was new in 2000. Nowadays any colour of tapestry dial is always a customer favorite.

The ordinary flat finishes just look a little dull by comparison. A silver tapestry looks especially fresh and clean. The distinctive dial pattern is particularly flattering with the 18 karat centre links of the jubilee bracelet.

Model 79173 in no different. The mechanism has been adjusted and regulated to the same tolerances for accuracy as any of the larger men’s chronometer models.

The red seal and dial text is your warranty of independent testing and certification to the world’s most exacting standards. The watch is running great with all functions working as designed.

For a 17 year old watch the overall condition is very good. The bracelet is showing just a bit of wear in the form of a little sag but it still has many decades of service left. Including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $4890.00 CAD. Stock #e10555. June 7, 2017 Rolex Air-King 116900 $7070.00 CAD. E10704 The Rolex Air-King has been around in one form or another for about 70 years. The basic looking oyster cased Rolex was first labeled Air-King as a tribute to Britain’s Royal Air Force who participated in the battle of Britain. RAF pilots of the time preferred using the Rolex oyster over the standard issue lower quality watches.

The robust design and relatively large case size (for the era) made it the perfect pilot tool for quick time interpretation. Not to mention the entry level Rolex was a far superior offering to anything else of the era. After the 34mm Air-King was discontinued in 2014 it appeared that one of the longest running models from Rolex was gone forever. Rolex has been known to revive past models with an injection of new style and new technology before and the new Air-King 116900 is the result. It’s ready for the next few generations of pilots or those who just love the style and tradition that is the Rolex Air-King. Gone is the rather small 34mm case, it’s been replaced by a 40mm version.

If the larger Oyster case didn’t catch your attention the incredible dial has got everyone talking. Although some feel the mix of the highly polished white gold 3,6 and 9 hour markers mixed with large painted 5, 10, 20, 25. Minute markers is a little busy looking, I just love it. It certainly is a departure from the basic stick or Arabic/stick combo of previous generation Air-Kings. The look is unique and still very purposeful. Luminous Mercedes style hands are far larger and easier to read than any set previously fitted. Along with the new case is the newer automatic calibre 3131 equipped with an antimagnetic shield protecting it from strong magnetic fields. This ultra high precision movement easily exceeds the minimum standards for chronometer rating at an incredible +/- 2 seconds per day according to Rolex.

This watch was purchased new in South Africa by the original owner who recently traded it for a different Rolex at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers. It was worn in rotation with a few other watches, as such it shows typical wear associated with occasional use since September 2016. Included with the watch is the inner/outer box, instructions and authorized agent endorsed warranty card (dated September 9 2016). Bill Le Boeuf will honor the full balance of the 5 year international warranty.

This watch along with every other gents professional model are almost impossible to find in Canada right now. May 25, 2017 Rolex Datejust II 116334 (3 months old) $9880.00 CAD. E10674 Different strokes for different folks I guess. Personally, it’s hard for me to understand but believe it or not there are some people out there that have little to no interest in a nice watch or a great piece of jewellery.

I realize luxury items are not basic necessities of life like food or shelter, but they sure have an effect on how they make you feel. Being confident and feeling good are sure to produce positive results in your life. The twinkle of a beautifully cut diamond ring sparkling in the sunshine or watching the smooth fluid motion of a finely tuned mechanical watch leave many with a strong sense of pride. It’s a feeling that’s hard to describe to those who don’t feel the same passion.

For others, maybe a well tailored suit does the trick, a clean and shiny car might work, or maybe a beautiful new dress and fresh hair style produce similar results. This hardly worn diamond dial Rolex Datejust II didn’t check off the right buttons for someone. I’m sure we’ll find the person it is the right accessory for. When I say hardly worn I really mean just that. It was purchased April 2017. The watch is almost perfect, only displaying a few very minor scuffs and scratches on the buckle and bracelet.

It was worn only a few times when the original owner/purchaser decided he really wasn’t a Rolex person. Bought from a Canadian authorized agent it comes as originally delivered. In fact the watch still has a few protective plastic stickers on the case and buckle. Even the plastic bezel protector is there. Original packaging, boxes, instructions, appraisal for insurance, endorsed warranty card from a Canadian authorized agent and even the paper cardboard sleeve is included with purchase. This watch benefits from the newer 5 year warranty that Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will honor. The Datejust II is a more contemporary 41mm diameter version compared to the traditional 36mm size. The new larger size is what current consumers have been asking of Rolex for quite some time.

The more sporty oyster bracelet should appeal to a younger consumer looking for a simple, functional look. Our model 116334 comes with the upgraded 18 karat white gold bezel and uncommon factory applied diamond hour markers providing some subtle extra bling. With speculation of a Canadian price increase coming, our price of $9980.00 Canadian should have this watch on the wrist of a new owner in no time. Stock #e10674 SOLD. May 15, 2017 Rolex Datejust 69173 hounds tooth dial $4950.00 CAD. E10574 We’ve been selling estate and vintage jewellery for over half a century at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers. In all that time this is only the second houndstooth dial Rolex we’ve been able to offer. Finding one in excellent overall condition is a special treat.

The 1991 Datejust appears to be in 100% original condition. Crisp sharp edges on the fluted 18 karat yellow gold bezel. Very little stretch in the 19 link jubilee bracelet and the embossed Rolex coronet logo on the buckle isn’t worn down at all. Pointing out these seemingly trivial details may be lost to most but we feel it’s important to demonstrate the differences between an average example and an outstanding one. The super rare houndstooth dial was an interesting special option that few people ordered when new, as such it’s rarely encountered today.

The highly reflective two tone mirror finish is very “jewellery” like. It definitely makes the typically utilitarian Datejust more like a fancy jewellery item. Even the calendar display has subtle black print on champagne background instead of the more conspicuous black on white.

The automatic chronometer grade movement is running great and keeping excellent time. Included with purchase is a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty and a perfect condition red Rolex presentation box that really sets off the unique dial. Estate priced at $4950.00 CAD. E10573 That black, deep grey or dark mother of pearl dial may look sexy and ultra dressy now but what happens when you begin to have trouble reading it. You can’t beat a clean white dial for the ultimate in legibility.

Let’s face it, once we get into our 40s and beyond, trying to decipher the time on a small dark dial becomes increasingly difficult. White also gives the impression of a slightly large face. If you’re considering a Rolex, it may be the last watch you ever buy, so getting one that you can actually read 20 years from now should be an important purchase factor. This 26mm ladies Datejust 79173 was manufactured in 2000 and is in great condition. The slightly raised synthetic sapphire crystal shows as new without even the smallest blemish. The 18 karat yellow gold and stainless steel Jubilee bracelet displays very little horizontal sag and stretch. This more modern Datejust has the preferred “no holes” treatment in the spring bar lugs.

All Rolex Datejust made before the mid 1990s had fully drilled lugs. The no holes look is one of the small improvements made by Rolex over the 70 year history of the Datejust.

April 18, 2017 Rolex Oyster Royal 6426 one owner $2865.00 CAD. E10430 “You’ll never regret buying quality” is one of our favorite quotes at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers. Another is; “quality endures when the price is long forgotten”. That was the comment made by the one and only previous owner of this watch when we received it.

It was purchased by a young enlisted soldier who was serving in Europe over 50 years ago. He purchased this trusty Rolex Oyster while on tour. He too forgot the exact price but he recalls it was about 1 months salary. That old saying still rings true today as the high quality remains.

His changing lifestyle has made it difficult for him to wind it up leading to his decision to sell the watch. The basic 17 jewel manual wind calibre 1210 is running excellent keeping remarkable time for a relatively simple movement.

These old hand wind movements served duty in many Rolex models for decades in unchanged form. The slower frequency (18000 cycles per hour) mechanisms are very reliable and accurate, just what a soldier of the day required. The slower speed and high torque springs result in power reserves of well over 2 days. Our model 6426 is in good mostly original condition.

The dial shows the patina of continuous use for half a century. The beautiful tapered hands still contain tritium pigment that long ago stopped glowing. They have taken on a dark grey/brown hue caused by oxidation or perhaps a little moisture.

The hour plots at the end of the stick markers are nicely matched to the hands. The dial text contains the much more rare “ROYAL” designation. One of the bracelet end pieces was replaced after the original was lost many years ago. A polished stripe down the centre of the bracelet and polished lugs give the watch a slightly modern look. Make no mistake though the vintage good looks have been preserved in the dial, plastic crystal, thin profile and riveted bracelet. Including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $2865.00. Stock #e10430. April 10, 2017 Rolex Ladies Datejust 79173 Pyramid dial $6000.00 CAD.

E10554 Any Rolex is a desirable thing even if it’s a relatively common model. One could argue there really is no such thing as a rare modern Rolex since the company has been producing well over 1 million watches per year since the 1990s. Ladies Datejust 79173 is a model we’ve seen many times at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers but this one is just a little more unique.

The “Y” serial number places the production around 2002, nothing too rare about that. What’s interesting is the remarkable condition.

It comes with the box along with endorsed paperwork from the Indianapolis Indiana Rolex agent that it was originally purchased from on Halloween day 2003. Even the red chronometer plastic seal tag and green serial number tag are still here.

The protective plastic stickers on the case edge have never been removed and are just starting to naturally peal away from the case. I’m sure this one was only worn occasionally for few special events. Everything regarding the condition could be described as in new condition.

It’s practically as good as new old stock. Whenever the head is polished the fluted bezel becomes a little more smooth.

Not the case here, it looks perfect. The sharp edged corrugated bezel ring synonymous with the brand still twinkles like a finely faceted crystal. People who know what to look for will always measure the “horizontal sag” of the bracelet on any Rolex. No disappointment here either as the 18 karat and stainless steel jubilee bracelet is almost perfectly perpendicular with the case back. The best part of this package is the perfect, blemish free silver/ivory pyramid dial. This dial is seldom encountered.

Most examples of this watch come with a champagne or regular silver face. The pyramid name comes from the subtle raised repeating pattern that almost looks like well crafted quilt. The full Roman numeral hour markers add a sophisticated finishing touch. A 26mm 18 karat and stainless steel Datejust model is no longer offered today. The current Rolex Datejust 28mm example of similar specification with run you $10450.00 CAD and $9150.00 USD. Sadly though if you want one with the attractive pyramid dial it’s no longer available.

In the spirit of keeping the watch 100% original we’ve elected to leave the case back engraved dedication as delivered. The service award engraving shows the recipients name (as it appears on the paperwork). If the new owner wishes to have engraving removed it can be easily be done at the time of purchase. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty the watch is estate priced at $6000.00 CAD. Yes it’s top dollar for this model but this is the best example we’ve ever had and the beautiful dial makes this the ladies Datejust to have. Stock #e10554.

April 5, 2017 Rolex Submariner 14060M two liner $7070.00 CAD. E10361 For many a collector and owner, a Rolex is more than just a watch. Owning a Rolex is a privilege and a responsibility, as a Rolex has graced the wrists of thousands of world leaders, military personnel, celebrities and royalty. A Rolex is often a watch passed on from parent to child, best friend or partner. A Rolex is used as a grand celebration of a birthday, graduation, career or marriage.

For many, one does not really own a Rolex but take care of it for the next generation. Of all the Rolex models that have been produced, the Submariner is the most recognized and respected, it is both classic and iconic.

From Steve McQueen to Jacques Cousteau, uncountable greats have worn a Submariner. Since the first Rolex Submariner was released in 1953 there has been a more than a few tweaks and changes to the watch. It wasn’t until the announcement in 2010 that Rolex was to replace the 14060M with the current maxi-dialed, maxi-cased, ceramic bezel that collectors and enthusiasts realized this was the last generation Submariner that could be so closely linked to the original. We are very happy to have and to offer a 14060M for sale in our estate watch department. A two-liner dial (referring to the absence of the wording “Superlative chronometer officially certified” on the dial) in great overall condition. Although it does not come with its original paperwork, it does have the original box, pamphlet and can be serial dated to 2002. The brushed steel oyster bracelet is in excellent condition, clasp is strong and tight; bezel and insert are pristine.

An old Rolex ad puts it best “We invented the Submariner to work perfectly at 660 feet under the sea. It seems to work pretty well at any level”. Eagerly waiting for its next owner the 2002 Rolex Submariner 14060M is estate priced at $7070.00 CAD including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty.

Stock e#10361. April 4, 2017 Rolex 16803 Submariner $10500.00 CAD. E9404 Not quite rare, but certainly uncommon to say the least. We almost never see transition model Submariners and I don’t think we’ve ever had a blue one before. Externally it looks exactly like the 20 year model run 16613 but it came equipped with the older calibre 3035 movement from the previous generation plastic crystal 200 meter Submariners. The transition model 16803 was only made for 3 or 4 years making them far less common and ultimately more collectible. The sub 10 million serial number places a production date on this example around 1986.

For a 30 year old watch this one looks fantastic and shows very little wear, even in the original oyster bracelet. I really love these old anodized aluminum bezel Subs. The rich royal blue/violet colour dial is far more attractive than the periwinkle blue current offering. I’m temped to keep this one for myself as it could easily be the last transition blue we get and the condition is excellent. Perfect dial showing only the slightest tan colour patina on the luminous tritium hour markers.

Perfect raised gold printing on that beautiful blue dial is worth a close up picture. We’ve elected to leave the watch in its as presented condition, showing some scratches and scuffs on the bracelet and case. The watch has been lightly refinished at some point in time but still shows excellent detail with thick lugs and sharp edges. The old 27 jewel 3035 is running great easily exceeding the certified chronometer dial designation for accuracy. The watch will be delivered with a full one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. A traditional size 40mm Submariner is very comfortable for most men.

It’s considered the Goldielocks size for a sport watch; not too big and not too small, it’s juuuuust right. Estate priced at $10500.00 CAD.

Stock #e9404. March 27, 2017 Rolex Datejust 116234 black mother of pearl & diamond $9780.00 CAD. E10532 A basic 36mm Rolex Datejust constructed completely of stainless steel (ref. 116200) retails at $7600.00 in Canada and $6600.00 in the U.S.A. If you add the distinctive 18 karat white gold fluted bezel like our featured watch, the price jumps an additional $950.00 CAD.

If you would like to embellish some hour marker diamond bling, I hope you have an additional $2750.00 CAD to cover it. If you’re still in the game at this point why not go all in with an ultra exotic and hypnotizingly beautiful black mother of pearl dial for $3250.00.

Looking back at a Canadian price list from 20 years ago shows the basic DateJust retailed for $4140.00. There are certainly worse things you could have done 20 years ago with $4140.00.

If looked after that 20 year old Rolex watch is still worth every penny of $4140.00. Rolex has a well deserved reputation of maintaining value better than any other brand.

They are not valuable due to their rarity, they produce well over a million every year. They are cherished pieces of mechanical art that stand up to the rigors of daily life better than any other. They can be used all day, every day and are still very sought after decades later on the secondary market. The classic look of the Rolex oyster is just as stylish today as it was when introduced in 1926. Our Rolex Oyster Datejust 116234 dates from 2008 and comes complete with the original box and paperwork endorsed by a Canadian authorized agent. Excellent overall condition with a very versatile 36mm case suitable for man or woman. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty, the watch is estate priced at $9780.00 CAD. March 22, 2017 Rolex Bubbleback 6332 $2500.00 CAD.

E10140 Vintage watch purists will appreciate this 4 digit, gold capped Rolex model 6332. Colloquially known as the Semi-Bubbleback. Given the name Bubbleback from its domed case back that was needed to house the thick automatic rotor and movement, Bubbleback watches popularity and dependability helped Rolex become a name synonymous with quality and reliability. The 6332 is a transitional model because it was released when the fashion of the day was for larger watch cases; however Rolex hadn’t yet developed a larger movement as dependable and readily available as the bubbleback. Rolex still wanted to stay on trend releasing a larger diameter watch and the 6332 was born. The 6332 was released as one of the first and few non sport models with flat sides. Although it still used the traditional bubbleback movement, it was housed in a much larger, more modern 33mm case. The Rolex cal.

1030 was soon released and the era of the Big Bubbleback began. The serial number 50611 dates it to 1954. Noting the lower than expected serial number, 1954 was an important year for Rolex as by then it had produced 1,000,000 watches. In order to avoid 7 digit numbers they reset their serial numbers. This watch has been worn and loved for almost 53 years and unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your vintage watch philosophy) the gold capped case is showing a bit of character and wear at the top and sides of the lugs, the bezel has remained relatively untouched by the patina of time. The watch is paired with a new brown crocograin leather strap and complete with a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. Estate priced at $2500.00 CAD. Stock e#10140.

March 20, 2017 Rolex Submariner 168000 ***RARE*** $8290.00 CAD. E10475 If you’re attracted to this watch just because of the simple, purposeful and classic look, you’ve got great taste. If you noticed it’s a “triple zero” Submariner you must be a Rolex collector and realize just how rare this one is. Or maybe you’re a Rolex collector and don’t know it yet. Open 6 open 9, flat 4, tritium, drilled lug holes. These are terms that will perk up the ears of the true Rolex collector/enthusiast.

The Rolex 168000 is universally regarded as the rarest of the modern Submariners. This is the first example that has ever been offered for sale at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers.

It’s a peculiar watch known as a transitional model. Transitional models exhibit features of the first calendar equipped Submariner 1680 plus characteristics of more recent examples. Sapphire crystals, glossy black dials with white gold hour marker plot frames are the most easily recognized updates. The 168000 is a Rolex anomaly; a bit of a factory Frankenstein. A watch that Rolex itself really doesn’t recognize in any official literature (at least that I can source). What makes the 168000 so rare? It’s the first Rolex to be made from upgraded 904L grade stainless steel yet still used the old 3035 movement from the 16800. It seems to me that Rolex didn’t quite have their timing (pun intended) quite right in terms of movement/case production. The new updated 904L grade steel case was ready to go for the yet to be released Submariner 16610, but either the new 3135 movement wasn’t ready or they had lots of the old calibre 3035 leftover.

I suspect the latter. As a result the 168000 was created to distinguish the old movement/new case watches. Rolex simply added that special extra 0 between the lugs so they could internally keep track of what was what. It didn’t take very long to consume the supply of old movements.

Most sources speculate that they were used up within 6 months to 1 year. All the examples I’ve seen are late “R” serial numbers dating them to 1989. A one year model run is very small for Rolex, the later 16610 model existed for over 20 years. Our example looks to be an original example with that open 6,9 on the date wheel, tritium dial indication and the flat 4 on the bezel insert. Overall finish and wear looks appropriate for a 28 year old watch.

The bracelet appears to be a factory replacement in good condition. Sleuthing out the cryptic world of vintage Rolex watches is almost as fun as owning that elusive vintage piece. Keep in mind that Rolex itself is a very secretive company that has made many millions of watches over the years. The vast numbers of examples in the world make it by far the most collected brand. Rolex doesn’t endorse any independent website opinions including ours, so do your homework. Have some fun learning about the most famous watch brand in the world.

Whether you consider that little extra number significant of not, this watch has a great story and it’s a very rare bit of Rolex history. If you choose to freshen up the look a brand new genuine Rolex bezel insert is available for $110.00 extra. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty this watch is estate priced at $8290.00 CAD. Stock #e10475.

February 28, 2017 Air-King 114210 (factory warranty until Aug 31 2021) $5500.00 CAD. E10358 Anyone familiar with Rolex are likely wondering why a watch that was discontinued close to 10 years ago comes with a factory warranty valid until 2021. Although this watch has a “M” serial number placing manufacture to 2008, it wasn’t first sold until August 2016. This qualifies the older model Air-King 114210 to benefit from Rolex’s newer 5 year warranty. If this watch was purchased in 2008, its warranty would have expired in 2010. This fact alone makes this watch a little bit special but what gets us watch nerds excited is the completeness of the watch, the outstanding original condition plus that wonderful and rare engine turned bezel. There’s no evidence of any wear except one of the bracelet adjustment links has been removed.

An original clear case back sticker still protects the case back. The Air-King has always been considered an entry level Rolex, lacking any type of complications except the commonwealth only seldom seen Air-King-Date. It’s been the choice of people for many decades looking for, a rugged, reliable time keeper suitable for use under any situation. Most examples had just a smooth steel bezel or perhaps a fluted bezel in gold. I can’t remember seeing another engine turned bezel example at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers.

At 34mm diameter the watch is suitable for anyone who isn’t looking for a jumbo oversized watch. Water tight to over 300 feet, threaded crown/case back, solid bracelet link construction with locking buckle and a synthetic sapphire crystal are the standard features that make a Rolex Oyster the most admired watch in the world. Unlike most Air-King models produced over the last 70 years this example is equipped with a chronometer grade movement. Chronometer certification ensures superior accuracy. To earn the coveted designation each individual movement undergoes independent testing in different positions at different temperatures for a period of ten days. The time keeping must remain better than 99.99% accurate each 24 hour period. Comes complete with inner/outer box, cardboard sleeve, endorsed warranty card from a Canadian authorized agent, instructions, booklets, plastic hang tags and even the remnants of the original stickers that covered the bracelet before delivery. It’s a 9 year old time capsule Rolex. Estate priced at $5500.00 CAD.

Stock #e10358. February 25, 2017 Vintage Rolex Datejust 1603 original USA made bracelet $3000.00 CAD. E10143 Rolex first released the Datejust in 1945 to commemorate the company’s 40 th anniversary. The original Datejust, only available in 18 karat gold, was a striking timepiece and was the first watch able to display the date as well as the time. The original Datejust also had a very unique bracelet and as it was the company’s 40 th anniversary it was fittingly called the Jubilee bracelet. The original solid gold bracelets of 1945 were of a similar design to the current bracelet with its classic 5 link design. It wasn’t until decades later that a steel option was released. Our Datejust is an all steel model 1603 whose serial number dates it to 1974. The 1603 is on a steel Jubilee bracelet with clasp stamped “Stainless Steel Rolex U.S.A.” meaning this example was made in the States sometime in the 1970s. We’ve mentioned before the strength and importance of the caliber 1570 movement housed in the stainless steel case and of course its legendary reliability will not disappoint. The desirable silver tritium dial is complimented by the polished and brushed stainless steel case. Who doesn’t love an engine turned bezel opposed to the more common bezel of the fluted variety.

This watch of course comes with a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty and is estate priced at $3000.00 CAD. Stock #e10143. February 14, 2017 Tudor Black Bay 79220N perfect condition $4200.00 CAD.

E10467 When the Tudor Black Bay series was released in 2012 it was obviously heavily inspired by the ever popular Tudor Submariners of the 1950s. Featuring the beautiful contrasting snowflake hands. Initially only available in Burgundy and Blue it’s design and look was so classic, so perfectly executed that it was honoured by the jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie in Geneva in 2013. The highly anticipated Black Bay Black was released in the fall of 2015 and was available on either leather strap or metal bracelet.

A few months after the release of the Black Bay Black there was an announcement in Baselworld 2016 that all Tudor Black Bay models would soon feature an in-house movement. What’s interesting and noteworthy, is that would make the Black Bay Black with Tudor 2824 caliber available for sale for less than a year. The Tudor 2824 caliber movement is based on the ETA 2824 movement used by nearly every watch brand. It’s a time tested (pun intended), trusted movement known for its precision and reliability. However, Tudor’s watchmaking expertise improved upon the ETA incabloc shock protection and regulation system making the movement more specific to the Black Bay. The easiest way to tell the difference between the two is; the original Tudor Black Bay Black had the iconic Tudor Rose emblem on the dial above the name Tudor, whereas the new generation Black Bays with the in-house calibre feature the Tudor Shield. All Black Bay models come on a cloth NATO style strap.

One of the great parts about our Black Bay Black is the fact that it was only occasionally worn and only with the nylon strap leaving the stainless bracelet untouched and unworn. Even the protective factory stickers are still in place. They say hindsight is 20/20 and I have to agree. Many of the rare and unusual Rolex and Tudor watches we’ve sold over the last few years have seen substantial price increases.

I think the Black Bay Black will see similar price appreciation over time being such a short production run model. If you’re going to collect one, get the best around and this one is about as close to perfect as you’re likely to encounter. It looks like new old stock. Hardly worn and covered with the factory warranty until late December 2017. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will extend the factory warranty for 1 year. Comes with original inner/outer boxes, instructions, warranty card and nylon strap. Estate priced at $4200.00 CAD.

Stock #e10467. February 10, 2017 Ladies Rolex Datejust 69173 Tapestry dial $4200.00 CAD. E10378 The Rolex Datejust could just be the most popular model the esteemed brand has ever produced.

The design has been around for over 70 years with millions of men’s and lady’s examples manufactured. We see them in various sizes with different bezel, dial and bracelet combinations all the time. The champagne tapestry dial like this example is always a customer favorite.

The ordinary champagne is by far the most frequently encountered dial. This striped tapestry version is far less common. The distinctive dial pattern is especially flattering with the 18 karat centre links of the jubilee bracelet. The rest of the watch is classic ladies Rolex; 26mm oyster case watertight to 100 meters, 18 karat yellow gold fluted bezel, 18 karat and stainless steel jubilee bracelet. Rolex is one of the few companies to produce a lady’s certified chronometer automatic watch. Model 69173 in no different, the mechanism has been adjusted and regulated to the same tolerances for accuracy as any of the men’s chronometer models. The red seal and dial text is your warranty of independent testing and certification to the world’s most exacting standards.

The watch is running great with all functions working as designed. For a 28 year old watch the overall condition is very good. The bracelet is showing some wear in the form of a little sag but still has many decades of service left. Including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $4200.00 CAD.

Stock #e10378. Rolex Datejust 16233 rare blue denim Jubilee dial $5500.00 CAD.

E10889 The Rolex Datejust has been in continuous production since 1945 and the company has made millions of them. Even though they are the most common model around, we never get tired of seeing them.

Between different dials, bracelets, bezels, metal combinations and dial markers there has got to be 1000s of different possible looks this versatile watch can have. The denim jubilee dial with Arabic markers on this 16233 is a rarely seen colour/marker combination. The 5 lines of gold text is another unusual feature as most jubilee dials only show 3 lines. It’s not just an interesting looking finish, the dial actually is made up from repeating ROLEXROLEXROLEXROLEX. Over and over on the entire surface. The jubilee theme continues with the 18 karat and stainless steel jubilee bracelet. This style is considered the dressier style compared to the 3 segment oyster style.

The jubilee bracelet is supremely comfortable and doesn’t show scratches like its flat link alternative. This example is showing a good amount of wear but still has decades of life left. Very few products have stood the test of time like a Rolex Datejust. The style has universal appeal and is still the companies best selling model. The late R serial number places production of this example around 1988. Most Rolex collectors have focused on the professional sports models for a long time now. Even average examples of these can now sell into 5 figures.

Unusual Datejust models like this one represent a great opportunity for something a little different at a great value. The watch is accompanied by a 2015 certificate of appraisal from Rolex authorized agent Howard Jewellers in Ottawa Ontario.

Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $5500.00 CAD. Stock #10889. February 7, 2017 Rolex Oyster Date 15010 $3690.00 CAD. E9716 The Oyster Date 15010 with the engine turned bezel is no longer available. This fixed bezel design looks like an extension of the hour markers and blends very well with the traditional 18 karat white gold Rolex stick hands.

This unique bezel makes the watch look a little larger and definitely makes for a more sporty look. While you can still buy a 34mm case size Rolex you’re limited to just a smooth or a fluted bezel. I’ve always been a fan of this style and I wore a white/Roman version for a while. This watch dates from around 1983 and comes with a Rolex factory service receipt from late 2005. At that time a full service including new crown, waterproof tube, bracelet buckle and other internal mechanism parts plus a new crystal were replaced to the tune of $799.25.

At some point after that the factory installed plastic crystal broke, failed or just got so badly scratched it was replaced. This time however it was replaced with a high quality aftermarket synthetic sapphire crystal which has proven to be much more durable than the original factory installed plastic style.

This new crystal looks and fits perfect; it’s exponentially harder than the original and has flattering optical properties highlighting the beautiful radial finish silver dial. While not 100% original any longer this modification actually enhances the functionality and durability of the entire watch while not hurting the overall value as it is not a permanent alteration. If you prefer the original Rolex plastic crystal we can exchange it for you, keeping the watch as delivered from the factory. Just get used to seeing the inevitable scratches on the soft surface that are bound to happen. If you don’t want a big watch but like something a little sporty looking this is an excellent example of a Rolex you don’t see every day.

The simple oyster style aftermarket bracelet shows practically no wear and almost zero stretch. Perhaps the original Rolex bracelet links wore out and were replaced with this high quality replacement using the Rolex buckle that was replaced in the 2005 service. Working great and keeping excellent time the watch comes with our 1 year warranty.

The sapphire crystal and excellent overall condition make this watch look much newer than its actual age of 33 years. Estate priced $3690.00 CAD. Stock #e9716.

February 5, 2017 Rolex Day-Date 18248 bark finish Jubilee dial $17340.00 CAD (tax incl.) e10464 Anybody got an extra $36050.00 CAD ($31350.00 USD MSRP) to spend on a watch? That’s what it’s going to take to buy the least expensive brand new Rolex Day-Date. If your bucket list contains a watch, there is a good chance that watch is a Rolex Day-Date. Unofficially know as the “President”, the model was introduced in the mid 1950s. The Rolex Day-Date look has remained virtually unchanged for 60 years. Different bracelets styles have been added, along with technical improvements like sapphire crystals and quick set calendars but the basic look is still the same. This is a pretty rare and unusual example.

Model 18248 comes with a factory bark texture on the bracelet and bezel. Only about 10% of the Day-Date models sold were ordered with this texture compared to the standard brushed/polished finish of the 18238. An ivory tone jubilee dial is quite unusual too. Jubilee dials display a subtle pattern reading ROLEXROLEXROLEX across the entire dial surface.

Clear and legible Arabic hour markers add an extra level of function to an already easy to read dial. Originally worn almost exclusively by men the 36mm case size is now seen on the arms of many stylish ladies too. Rolex Day-Date watches have always been constructed from either 18 karat gold or platinum, there is no “entry level” Day-Date manufactured in stainless steel. This example is in excellent condition showing virtually no wear in the bracelet at all. A great way to check for general wear in the links is to hold the watch case so the bracelet is horizontal and observe how much sag results.

Drooping only a couple of degrees is really amazing for a 22 year old watch. The watch has a gross weight of total of 144.4 grams including the 5 removable sizing links (one link is a non factory substitute). The iconic Rolex Coronet that serves as the buckle release looks like new too. Often, as these watches are used and polished over time the crown becomes worn down.

A 22 year old Rolex like this may be one of the best values in the watch collecting world. It’s likely fully depreciated as long as the condition is maintained. The sapphire crystal and double quickset movement give the watch a modern look and feel. A Day-Date is always in demand from people who appreciate a fine watch and realize the value only estate item can showcase. A 1 year wholesale Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty comes included with purchase. Presented in a Rolex box the watch is estate priced at $17340.00 CAD (tax included). February 2, 2017 Rolex Submariner 16613 $10250.00 CAD. E8803 When the Rolex Submariner debuted in 1953 it was regarded strictly as a highly functional “tool” type watch. Made to accomplish a few specific tasks under some very harsh conditions. It was the first watch waterproof to a depth of 100 meters. The rotating bezel made it possible to quickly calculate elapsed time. It was never designed to win any beauty contests. A few decades later a calendar appeared on the watch adding an obvious and handy feature. Shortly after that a solid gold model became available. In 1984 the first steel and gold combination added a new more affordable “jewellery” version.

Model 11613 came out in the late 1980s and featured the then new Rolex caliber 3135 movement that powered submariners for close to 30 years. This movement is considered one of the most durable and reliable available. An almost 50 hour power reserve is longer than most automatics. Retired from production in 2009 has made model 16613 a little more desirable. The replacement model (116613) with ceramic bezel while still retaining the blue dial has lost the rich royal blue hue associated with the older version. It’s hard to describe, but some of the older dials have an almost iridescent violet colour. The subtle differences in colour of blue dials in 16613s has always intrigued me and this one is a little closer to the violet end of the spectrum.

I’m not sure if the slight evolution of colour happened by design or chance but it’s obvious if you look at a few models from various years. Our model dates from 1997 and includes the original box and endorsed warranty papers. In used not abused condition. The case lug edges are in good shape still retaining their slight bevel. There are of course scratches and scuffs associated with 20 years of occasional use, but overall the condition is excellent. The easiest way to gauge overall wear and tear is to hold the watch in a horizontal position and look for bracelet droop. Everyday use over 20 years can really wear on the rubbing bracelet components. This bracelet has almost no horizontal sag and stretch.

16613s are showing up less and less as collectors are beginning to take good examples off the market. The price for nice previously owned examples has appreciated significantly over the past few years. A full service was completed by Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers in February 2016 including vacuum testing. Comes with our one year warranty. Estate priced at $10250.00. Stock #e8803. January 29, 2017 Rolex Oyster Date 15037 14 karat gold $13250.00 CAD.

E10449 Dad always said, “don’t fall in love with your inventory”. With those wise words in mind we’re reluctantly offering this beautiful vintage Rolex Oyster Date 15037. The majority of solid gold gents Rolex watches ever sold are the Day-Date models better known as the President. You seldom encounter a men’s solid gold Rolex with just the day of the month display window. In fact, over the last 30 years of memory here at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers this is only the 2nd 14 karat gold Rolex Date model we’ve had. That alone makes it a pretty rare bird. What makes this one especially unique is the very rare radial finish champagne dial with Roman numerals and factory applied diamonds markers.

The overall condition of this model 15037 is as close to “new old stock” as you could ask. The fluted bezel is sharp and crisp, looking unpolished. That iconic Jubilee bracelet has almost no sag. Keep in mind, this era bracelet has open centre links and they were never tight even when brand new. The buckle edges are sharp and it snaps shut with a satisfying click.

Even the bracelet adjusting screws look like they’ve never been turned. Small details like this set the quality apart. I can’t believe it’s 30 years old. Even the size is a little unusual, this watch has a 34mm case diameter. Most all gold gents Rolex are 36mm. Back in 1987 this size was pretty well exclusively worn to men, but today women wear this size all the time and they look great on the feminine wrist. The tone on tone champagne dial with gold case/bracelet is the epitome in style and classic elegance.

14 karat 34mm Date models are no longer offered, but if you wanted a similar 36mm example in 18 karat gold expect to see a price of over $35000.00 Canadian. Comes complete with a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers and Rolex box. Estate priced at $13250.00 CAD. Stock #e10449. January 28, 2017 Vintage Rolex Datejust 1601 $3300.00 CAD. E10142 Nothing shows off classic Rolex Design better than a Datejust 1601. The Datejust was first released in 1945 and was a major breakthrough in horological technology and design as the first wristwatch with an automatically changing date function. Often replicated in design however never successfully duplicated this Datejust will always be a classic featuring a yellow gold fluted bezel similar to the original design of 1945 and champagne colour dial. Rolex patented the term Rolesor in 1933 referring to the combination of gold and steel, the metal combination of this particular vintage 1970 example.

The original plastic crystal at some point in its life was replaced by an aftermarket sapphire crystal. The Rolex Oyster case combined with a screw down gold crown protects and houses the caliber 1570 movement, known to be a workhorse and one of the best movements ever made by Rolex. Appreciated for generations this timepiece is ready to continue its story with a new owner and is estate priced at $3300.00 CAD. Comes with a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. Stock #e10142. January 26, 2017 Rolex GMT Master 1675 “Pepsi” $12000.00 CAD. E10284 50 years old in 2017 and looking great.

This watch was manufactured by Rolex in the 2nd half of 1967; at the same time Canada was celebrating it’s 100 anniversary as an independent country. GMT Masters have been a popular choice since their introduction in 1954. At the time trans Atlantic Ocean air travel was becoming the norm. Pilots needed a super accurate, reliable watch that had the ability to simultaneously display a second time and Rolex delivered a classic that remains a top seller to this day. The “Pepsi” bezel 1675 is a model that has become incredibly popular as a vintage model over the past few years. The enduring model remained in the Rolex lineup for over 20 years. Excellent condition, original examples can sell for more than 100 times the original price.

I’d describe our 1675 as in excellent condition but not quite original. The watch has been gently worn for the last 50 years and has been regularly maintained.

The original bracelet has been replaced by a newer style OEM Rolex 62510 Jubilee style that is the correct factory replacement. A 2009 Rolex service receipt from Rolex Canada shows the famous blue/red Pepsi coloured bezel was exchanged for a new replacement while the watch was being fully serviced. The tritium dial and hands look fantastic. We believe the flat black dial and hands have also been replaced during a factory service at some point. Running great and keeping time the original 26 jewel automatic winding Rolex calibre 1570 is performing as you’d expect from a superlative chronometer rated movement.

Its non hacking design along with the 19800 beat per hour rhythm reinforce the vintage look and feel of this highly desirable classic. The watch comes with a Rolex service box, Rolex service receipt ($830.55) from the fall of 2009 and a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. Estate priced at $12000.00 CAD. Stock #e10284. January 12, 2017 Tudor Glamour 57000 42mm $2720.00 CAD. E10202 Since 1946 the Tudor Watch Company (conceived by Hans Wilsdorf, Rolex founder) have created and marketed some truly iconic watches. The Tudor Oyster Prince, Tudor Chrono 7031 and even more recently the Black Bay and Pelagos have a large following. The Tudor Glamour Double Date is another watch whose subtle charm will make for a solid addition or beginning to anyone’s collection. The Double Date gets its name due thanks to its unusual date display.

Usually the date is displayed with a single toothed disk that sits behind the dial with printed numbers 1-31. The date ring clicks over around midnight everyday revealing a new date. To display the date a small hole is cut out of the dial called the date aperture. On the Tudor Glamour Double Date the date display is much more complex. At the 12 o’clock position there is a dual aperture to display the two seperate date wheels. One with the numbers 0-3 and the other with the numbers 0-9. These two wheels collaborate to display the date in a rather unique and astethically pleasing manner.

The Tudor caliber 2892 powers this watch with modifications to allow the unique double date feature. Easy to set using its steel screw down crown emblazened with the Tudor shield logo. Cut-out steel feuille hands have a skeletonized look to not hide the beautifully machined silver tone dial with a Tudor rose used to enhance and distiguish the small second counter at 6 o’clock. All the Tudor Glamour watches have a subtle double dome bezel and a low domed sapphire crystal chosen for its durability.

The Double Date is paired with an original leather strap, original steel Tudor folding clasp and safety catch. Watch was purchased new a little over 2 years ago from an authorized dealer in December 2014. All original condition showing just a few minor scuffs on the case. Comes complete with box, papers and a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. Estate priced at $2720.00 CAD. Stock #e10202. January 1, 2017 Rolex Submariner 114060 $8277.00 CAD tax included!!! E10347 This is it, the most pure form of the Rolex Submariner available today. It’s the ultimate expression in pure functionality. When the submariner debuted in 1953 it had no calendar, no chronograph, no moon phase, no bells or whistles of any kind.

Just a black dial with contrasting white hands and a two way rotating bezel for measuring elapsed time. In the more than 60 years of production the basic model is considered by many to be the most desirable. Many early examples now trade hands for more than 100 times the original price. The glossy black dial without distractions and no date aperture with magnifier certainly makes for a purposeful design. The more I look at this watch the more I appreciate the original design coveted by so many collectors. You couldn’t ask for a more balanced clean look. Our latest example was originally delivered in Canada to an official Rolex agent in the spring of 2014.

Being an original Canadian delivery watch, coming with the original bill of sale you can be confident the GST was paid. You can travel hassle free across the border should a customs agent ask you to prove the appropriate Canadian tax was paid and the watch wasn’t smuggled into the country.

In addition to the original invoice, a January 31 2017 appraisal from Rolex agent Damiani Jewellers is included with purchase. Overall condition is excellent, exhibiting just subtle evidence of use in the form of small scuffs on the case and bracelet. Inner/outer box, instruction booklet, original warranty card, all paperwork and even the card board sleeve come included with purchase. Working like new and keeping great time the watch is estate priced at $8277.00 tax included! Stock #e10347.

December 19, 2016 Vintage Rolex Oyster Date 1500 $3600.00 CAD. E9995 For such a static design it sure isn’t difficult to spot this Rolex Date as a vintage model. The basic Rolex Date has been around since the 1950s and has changed very little since then. A quick set calendar and a sapphire crystal are really the only obvious changes made since its introduction. The clean white dial with Roman numerals and rectangular hour markers make for a little less common dial treatment.

You usually see one type of hour marker or the other but seldom both on the same dial. This unusual dial and with the slightly taller profile of the tradition plastic crystal are your more apparent clues to its age.

According to the serial number the watch was made in 1979. When we received the watch it was running but it needed a little TLC. A full technical revision of the automatic chronometer grade movement has just been completed. In addition to the overhaul, a new set of luminous hands were installed, a new crystal and case gasket were also replaced. It’s running like new and keeping great time ready for the next few decades of reliable service. A brand new Rolex Oyster with calendar display, white/Roman dial, on an oyster bracelet is still available but at a Canadian suggested retail price of $7600.00. At 34mm diameter this watch could be worn by the lady who likes a good sized, but not overwhelming watch or the gentleman who prefers a more moderate size. Including a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty this Oyster Date 1500 is estate priced at $3600.00 CAD. Stock #e9995.

December 14, 2016 Rolex Oyster 114200 “white grape” $4600.00 CAD. E10241 This Rolex was generously donated to the St. Joseph’s Health Centre’s charity auction by Nash Jewellers of London, Ontario. The auction was held in October 2016. The watch is now just a couple of months old, making this one of the newest estate Rolex watches we’ve ever had.

The winning bidder of the auction already owns several other Rolex watches and really didn’t need another so we’ve been asked to help find this watch a new home. There is nothing missing from the package as it’s accompanied by everything Rolex originally supplied, mint condition inner/outer box, paperwork, Rolex tags. The 34mm diameter Rolex has only been worn a handful of times and is in perfect condition. No evidence of wear can be seen anywhere. The watch carries the balance of the international 5 year factory Rolex warranty.

The fully transferable warranty will keep the new owner covered until October 2021. The all steel Oyster case features the striking combination of domed, high polished bezel, warm champagne (or white grape) dial, and luminous dial markers tipped with bright blue accents. Model 114200 is equipped with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, twin lock threaded crown, threaded case back for a waterproof rating of 100 meters or 330 feet. The chronometer rated Calibre 3130 perpetual, mechanical, self winding movement features stop seconds for precise time setting, 48 power reserve, and a bidirectional self winding perpetual rotor.

The all brushed, solid steel Oyster bracelet retains its mint condition factory finish and is equipped with a signed, fold over Oyster clasp. Rolex Oyster Perpetual 114200 is currently listed at $5800.00 CAD and $5050.00 USD. The reasonable 34mm case diameter can be comfortably worn by anyone with an average or smaller build. This size and combination of all steel with subtle dial hue looks great on the modern woman’s wrist too. Our estate price for this practically brand new watch $4600.00 CAD. Stock #e10241.

December 10, 2016 Tudor Black Bay Heritage 79220N with extra straps & buckles $3700.00 CAD. E10215 When the Tudor Black Bay series was released in 2012 it was obviously heavily inspired by the ever popular Tudor Submariners of the 1950s. Featuring the beautiful contrasting snowflake watch hands. Initially only available in Burgundy and Blue it’s design and look was so classic and perfectly executed that it was honoured by the jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie in Geneva in 2013.

One of the great parts about our Black Bay Black is that it comes with all three bracelet options. When it was initially purchased in March 2016, the watch came on a stainless steel bracelet. The previous owner decided to purchase the distressed black leather strap as well to have the option to change up the look. Metal, leather and cloth bracelets are all in fantastic, nearly unused condition. That is three unique looks for one watch. Being less than a year old this watch is in overall great condition.

Keeping with the theme of an homage to vintage dive watches Tudor chose to use flat black dial with gold writing to be paired with gold plated snowflake hands and hour indices to give it a similar look to how early Submariners have aged. This is a watch that is less than a year old whose model is just over a year old is no longer available to purchase new. Its short run will surely lead to an increase in value over time and will solidify a place in the horilogical annals. Box, papers and factory warranty, this watch is estate priced at $3700.00 CAD. Stock #e10215.

December 7, 2016 Rolex Air-King 14000 $4000.00 CAD. E9704 These classic Rolex watches just look right. Perhaps they’re not the cutting edge when it comes to trendy fashion looks, but 20 years from now I bet this watch will be just as sought after as it is today or when brand new in 1995. The 34mm case size is a bit smaller by contemporary standards but they’re super comfy on a smaller gents wrist and look great on any woman’s arm. Tone on tone dial/case colour combination is an especially classy look, making a sophisticated statement without saying a word. It’s dressy, it’s sporty, it’s the Rolex Oyster, the do it all design that set the bar for water resistance when first introduced in the 1920s.

To this day it’s still the standard to which all others compare. The rugged durable design can be worn 24/7 for almost any activity. Model 14000 is in excellent condition showing only the slightest amount of wear.

The bracelet is tight and crisp showing no sag or stretch. The synthetic sapphire crystal is scratch free but it does have some minor nicks along the raised edge mostly between 10:00 and 12:00 (invisible to the naked eye). The silver radial finish dial and hands are absolutely perfect; luminous hands and hour marker dots still glow strongly in the dark.

A basic Rolex without a calendar, plain old stick hour markers on the tough oyster bracelet may have been an entry level offering but it sure has stood the test of time. Keeping excellent time while looking great is a combination that never goes out of style.

Including a one year warranty this classic Rolex is estate priced at $4000.00 CAD. Stock #e9704. December 3, 2016 Rolex Submariner 114060 $7970.00 CAD.

Perfect condition! E10242 We may need to stop calling these like new and barely worn watches as “few and far between” in our estate department. It seems we’ve been getting an influx of them recently.

No complaints here of course, they never stay long thanks to the exceptional value they represent. Especially when they come in as this one did. It literally looks like it was never worn.

It was briefly owned by an avid, conscientious watch enthusiast collector. If the Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1953 as a utilitarian tool watch this is probably the epitome of that spirit in current Rolex lineup. Brushed stainless steel and glossy black in a 40mm diameter case size, it’s the most universal looking Submariner. For diving purposes the Rolex 114060 is equipped with a trip lock crown that’s water resistant even when unscrewed plus a threaded solid steel case back. The Oysterlock clasp with Glidelock adjustment allows for changing the strap length without any tools, removing the need for the old style fold out diver’s extension. The heavily knurled edge of the unidirectional ratcheting Cerachrom bezel timer was designed for added grip underwater.

This allows divers easy monitoring of diving time and decompression stops. The zero capsule of the black scratch resistant bezel along with the 18 karat white gold dial markers and hands of the watch are accented with luminescent inserts for added legibility under all conditions. No surprise that this ‘Archetype of the Diver’s Watch’ (as Rolex puts it) is made from solid 904L stainless steel, a high grade alloy that’s anti-magnetic, but most importantly has excellent resistance to warm seawater and chlorides. The Submariner is powered by their in-house Calibre 3130 Swiss chronometer grade perpetual movement that features a bidirectional self winding rotor, 48 hour power reserve, and Parachrom hairspring.

This specially made hairspring has greater resistance to shock and changes in temperature, which will come in handy if you wear the watch in the conditions Rolex intended it for. Rated for a depth of 300 meters/1000 feet the Rolex Submariner 114060 is ready for anything with a 5 year transferable factory warranty good until September 2021. The watch is also accompanied by all paperwork, a plastic bezel guard, original Rolex sales tag and chronometer tag, inner/outer box and even the cardboard sleeve all in mint condition. Rolex suggested retail price for this watch $7500.00 USD our estate price is $7970.00 CAD. November 29, 2016 “Red” Submariner 1680 **RARE** $14580.00 CAD (tax included). E10235 It’s always nice to catch up with an old friend. This rare 1973 Rolex Red Submariner was sold by Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers in 2001. It was cherished and worn for 16 years and is now back with more stories to tell and ready for the next person to enjoy.

The very first Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1954 at the Basel World Fair. The annual trade show in Basel Switzerland that exhibits all the newest and most exciting advancements in the horological world. Although the design has remained relatively unchanged since 1954, there have been versions with subtle variations that only add to the intrigue, rarity and multiply the value. The 1680 Red Submariner gets its moniker quite simply because the word “Submariner” on the dial is written in red not white. Today we of course know that Rolex manufactures every watch part that goes into a Rolex in order to control both quality and production. However, there was a time that they would use different vendors for different components including the dial. The same model might have a number of different dial styles or variants, some being more rare or desirable than others.

The 1680 Submariner was manufactured for 12 years between 1968 and 1980 and came with 6 different variants of dials. Our example is dated to 1973 and is unofficially known as a Mark IV dial.

The Mark IV is of the earliest “feet first” dials which display the depth rating in the imperial measurement of feet before the metric meters rating. The watch has a strong and honest case showing signs of slight wear. The bevel on the lugs is still present, bezel and insert in great overall condition and comes on a folded link stainless steel 9315 bracelet stamped 380 on the end pieces, which would be the bracelet this watch would have initially come with.

A timeless look from one of the most recognized brands in the world, the 1680 Red Submariner is one of the most desirable. Our Rolex example has a beautiful untouched dial marked “Swiss–T. November 17, 2016 Tudor Heritage Black Bay 79220B $3700.00 CAD. E9470 Another great condition Tudor Black Bay diver. Black Bay 79220B comes with all its original accessories supplied from the factory. Everything is in perfect condition; inner/outer boxes, instructions, warranty card endorsed by Canadian authorized agent (October 2014), plastic hang tag, extra nylon strap (never used).

You’ll not find a more complete example.

Take advantage of our weak Canadian dollar while you can because Rolex will eventually be increasing prices across the entire model range. In countries that have a strong currency this watch is much more expensive than here in Canada. For instance in the USA this watch has a suggested retail price of $3425.00 (approximately $4430.00 CAD) and in Europe it has a price of 3210.00 Euro (approximately $4150.00 CAD). One other thing to consider; when importing a Swiss made watch to Canada a 5% duty is applied plus provincial and federal sales tax calculated on top of that. So buying this watch in the USA could ultimately cost you around $5250.00 if you live in Ontario. Including balance of two year factory warranty plus a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty the watch is estate priced at $3700.00 CAD (plus applicable tax).

Stock #e9470. November 11, 2016 Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph 116264 $7800.00 CAD (tax included!) e10240 I’ve been baffled ever since I saw my first Turn-O-Graph; why isn’t this model more popular? In fact it’s never been much of a seller since the 1953 introduction. There are a few people who appreciate the added functionality of the two way timer bezel, but most who have purchased a Datejust opt for the simple fixed bezel varieties.

I’m sure even Rolex can’t figure out why it hasn’t been more successful. They persisted with the model updating it for over 50 years from time to time until it was recently retired a few years back. It’s been available then retired only to be reintroduced again. Although certainly not the most profitable watch from Rolex it is notable for a number of reasons.

Our example is in its original condition, showing only the slightest wear, with just the most insignificant minor scuffs on the polished sections. It retains the original finish with crisp sharp edges on the bracelet and case. The two way solid 18 karat white gold timer bezel is crisp, sharp and easy to turn. It’s a one owner watch that has never been polished or refinished in any way.

According to the “D” serial number the watch dates from 2005, making it one of the last of the thick lug Turn-O-Graphs. The large red sweep second hand with red date display and sporty oyster bracelet make this the gentleman’s sport watch without the bulk of a Submariner, GMT, Yacht-Master etc. The watch may date from 2005 but the original invoice and warranty card place the date of purchase from September 2012. It was owned by a mature watch enthusiast and shared only occasional careful use with several other luxury watches. As such it looks practically new, complete with the factory holographic green sticker on the case back.

Comes with inner/outer boxes, endorsed Canadian warranty card, calendar, wallet, original bill of sale and various other documents. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rolex once again re-introduces a Turn-O-Graph in the future. For such a versatile and functional watch, it’s a shame more people haven’t discovered it. Estate priced at $7800.00 CAD tax included.

Stock #e10240. October 25, 2016 Rolex Datejust 16233 with factory diamond dial $8300.00 CAD. E10156 Don’t be shy guys, a little “man bling” never hurt anyone. These diamonds aren’t merely decoration, they actually perform a very important function. They are masterfully set in 18 karat yellow gold frame settings to plot out the hours on the champagne dial.

Rolex has gone to extraordinary lengths matching the quality of the 8 diamonds that grace this dial. Each one is a perfectly proportioned single cut. Single cut diamonds are almost never used in the jewellery business any more. Most manufacturers prefer to use a 57 facet brilliant cut. Rolex has kept the tradition of using only single cut diamonds on their dials for good reason. Exceptionally well made single cut diamonds reflect light better with a more prominent flash compared to even the best brilliant cuts. Cutting geometry must be absolutely perfect with single cut diamonds to make them look so good.

Most manufactures use full cut diamonds as the cutting standards can be slightly different and still appear to match. No one controls precision, consistency and mass production like Rolex. This allows them the luxury of doing what many others find impossible. This 36mm Datejust model 16233 was made in 1996 and is in excellent condition. The fluted 18 karat yellow gold bezel is still crisp and sharp. The dressy jubilee bracelet is showing only minor sag, better than many examples half the age. The watch comes with the original inner/outer box, polishing cloth, 2013 appraisal, service booklet and warranty card showing the factory service was performed in Jan 2011. A 91 page 2010 product brochure with a Canadian price list showing a retail price of $10190.00 for this model (without the diamond dial) is also included.

The current suggested retail price for replacement model 116233 with diamond dial is $12850.00 USD, making it a relative bargain in Canada at just $14800.00 CAD. Including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $8300.00 CAD. Stock #e10156. October 15, 2016 Datejust 16030 $3825.00 CAD. E10117 The classic good looks of the Rolex Oyster has to be the most enduring of any design in the watch business. This style and the Datejust model have been around for over 70 years.

The name Datejust likely sounded a little strange the first time you heard it, but it accurately describes how the calendar quickly flips the day of the month display at midnight making the date true or “just”. Most watches with date displays turn the day of the month over very slowly, often times taking several hours or more to fully reveal the next date. If you happen to be awake at the exact right moment you’ll see the date ring quickly rotate to the next day in a fraction of a second. The instantaneous date jump is accompanied by a satisfying audible click.

Small details like this are what separate a Rolex from most other high end brands. The fact that the general look hasn’t changed in such a long time is testament to the style. As far as classic looks go, the tone on tone silver dial with all stainless steel case and jubilee bracelet still look just right. At 36mm diameter it may be a wee bit small next to the latest high fashion creation.

When the size pendulum swings back to an easier size to wear a 36 will be just right for most folks. Our model was manufactured in the early 1980s and is in very good condition showing a reasonable amount of sag in the super comfy jubilee bracelet. A current 36mm datejust (model 116200) on Jubilee bracelet has a suggested retail price of $7700.00 CAD. Including a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty the watch is estate priced at $3825.00 CAD.

Stock #e10117. 47 year old 1680 Submariner with box & papers ***VERY RARE*** $13970.00 CAD. E8892 Rolex is by far the largest of any Swiss watch manufacturer and I would also suspect the most profitable but we’ll never know. The company is owned by German charitable association Hans Wilsdorf Foundation named after the Rolex company founder and their not talking. They don’t release sales figures, you can’t buy shares in Rolex, they don’t release production details relating to the collector market. So trying to determine even how old a particular model is can be challenging. Anything you find online including our thoughts and opinions is unauthorized and not supported by Rolex.

Various sources point to a 1967 production date on this Submariner model 1680 due to the 2215257 serial number but inside the case back is stamped III.69 meaning manufactured during the 3rd quarter of 1969. If you’ve read this far you know this is a scarce model and more special because of a few seemingly tiny details. The first and most obvious is the word SUBMARINER printed in red lettering.

The second less conspicuous aspect of the dial is the depth rating in meters before the feet number. Rolex reversed this order in the early 1970s and to this day the imperial measurement of feet first is what Rolex use. Most of the Red Submariners made show feet first making this example even more rare.

The winding/setting crown appears to be original as it lacks the three dot trip lock embossed logo. The final details and possibly the most rare are all the original documents that are included with the watch.

After over 45 years it’s common these items get lost, destroyed or simply just tossed in the trash when the warranty expires or the watch is sold to a new owner. Included with the sale is the inner and outer boxes, not in great condition but they are in keeping with the spirit of this watch that was used as a trusty timekeeper every day for 45 years. A very rare 4 page advertisement/brochure, guarantee booklet and chronometer certificate complete the package.

The watch is running great keeping excellent time. Sometime during it’s history the watch suffered some moisture damage to the luminous hour markers. As a result quite a bit of the luminous material is missing. A small amount of black paint is missing around the dial edge at about the 4:30-5:00 position.

These dial issues are certainly a factor affecting the value of such a rare watch. Keep in mind however, when viewed in person the dial looks better than our picture shows. The original riveted bracelet has long since been replaced with a newer style Rolex 93150 diver bracelet. Two owner very collectable Submariner. Estate priced at $13970.00 CAD. Stock #e8892. October 13, 2016 Rolex Datejust16233 with factory diamond dial $8300.00 CAD. E9662 There’s nothing more striking than a glossy black dial Rolex with diamond hour markers.

That iconic silhouette of the famous oyster case with jubilee bracelet is a look that never grows old. The traditional 36mm case was originally designed as a gentleman’s size. In fact when introduced about 70 years ago it was considered a big watch for the time. Today this size is often worn by women seeking for a more substantial look.

Personally speaking I think a larger watch looks great on a woman. Our example of model 16233 is in very good original condition. The bracelet is showing a small amount of stretch/sag that is to be expected from a 26 year old watch. Even when brand new the hollow centre links allow a certain degree of flex allowing for a comfortable fit, even more so with a bit of wear. Overall condition is very good. We will provide complimentary refinishing if you prefer the watch looking like new.

A jet black dial Datejust is a little more uncommon than silver or champagne. To find one with factory applied diamond hour markers is a real find. This watch comes with official Rolex service papers, receipts, Rolex authentication receipt and period correct catalogues.

An 18 karat/stainless steel Datejust model with diamonds is still offered by Rolex. It looks almost exactly like this one, even the style number is only one digit different 116233. What has changed is the price. The retail price for the current replacement model is $12850.00 USD and $14800.00 CAD. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $8300.00 CAD. Stock #e9662.

October 11, 2016 Rolex Explorer 214270 $6845.00 CAD. E8700 Another classic Rolex that debuted in the 1950s. The Rolex Explorer got its name after Sir Edmund Hillary became the first person to successfully climb to the top to Mount Everest.

Purchased new in Canada March 2014 from an authorized Ontario Rolex agent. It was previously owned by a collector customer who traded it in on something he found more interesting.

This watch was worn occasionally with care and looks almost new aside from some small light scratches mostly on the bracelet. It has never been refinished or polished in any way, the watch retains the crisp sharp edges on all surfaces.

The factory warranty expires in March of 2016 but Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will extend the warranty until March 2017. Rolex has a suggested retail price of $6550.00 US dollars for the Explorer 214270. Including the original packaging, warranty card, instructions etc. The watch is estate priced at $6845.00 Canadian. Stock #e8700. October 10, 2016 Rolex Oyster 34 “red grape” 114200 (6 months old) $5238.00 TAX INCL.

E10175 Okay guys, we all know how much you hate shopping. Here’s a gift that you’ll enjoy picking up and a gift that she’ll love to receive.

The Rolex 34mm Oyster is a great mix of classic Rolex design and with contemporary details that are instantly noticeable. Have you even seen a Rolex with a dial colour like this? Known within Rolex circles as red grape, this dial is a soft subtle greyish purple plum hue. Certainly not the typically encountered silver, black, white or champagne face usually seen. Closer inspection reveals tiny little pink squares on the outer dial edge that tip the raised 18 karat white gold luminous hour markers. The watch was purchase new in June 2016 at a Toronto authorized agent.

It comes complete with everything including inner/outer box, endorsed warranty card, instructions, hanging bracelet tags, original bill of sale and even a Rolex shopping bag. The uncluttered functional dial with smooth bezel and more sporty oyster bracelet make this watch the perfect accessory for an active lifestyle. A super scratch resistant sapphire crystal, threaded twin lock crown and a screw on case back allow a 100 meter water resistant rating. 6 months old but looking unworn, there’s hardly a scuff or scratch anywhere to be found.

Being a 2016 model this watch benefits from the newly extended Rolex 5 year international warranty. Save some money and get a very attractive, unique looking watch that is sure to be noticed with a look of understated sophistication. Including the balance of the factory warranty the watch is estate priced at $5238.00 including tax. Stock #e10175.

October 8, 2016 Rolex Date 69190 (one owner) $3700.00 CAD. E10010 For every ladies Rolex watch that turns up in our estate department there are at least 10 men’s models. If you’re looking for an excellent condition, no stories ladies Rolex, give this one some serious thought.

Don’t think too long because this one is very nice. It has been meticulously cared for as demonstrated by the excellent overall condition and completeness.

Every piece of original packaging is accounted for including the hanging plastic price/serial number tag and the original bill of sale. 26 years ago the watch was purchased in Toronto for just $1750.00. Today, the least expensive ladies calendar equipped, jubilee bracelet Rolex model has a suggested retail price of $7100.00 CAD ($6200.00 USD). This is a great looking watch that would look perfect on the arm of the professional lady. The easy to read no nonsense clean white dial with Roman numerals is very sophisticated and timeless. This watch brims with confidence without being ostentatious. All stainless steel construction, sapphire crystal and famous oyster case with screw on case back/crown insure you can wear this watch in any situation.

A more uncommon engine turned bezel adds a touch of sportiness to the feminine jubilee bracelet and smaller 26mm case size. It’s rare to have such a ladies Rolex in stock and almost unheard of to be able to offer one as complete as this one. Fully serviced December 2106 should ensure this like new looking Rolex will run trouble free for many years.

E10123 An almost perfect example of a difficult to find and very collectable Rolex. The Daytona Cosmograph is always at the top of the shopping list for anyone interested in a sporty chronograph. This wasn’t always the case.

30 years ago a Daytona could be had for a few thousand dollars. The hand wind technology of the early Daytona was considered very old school when the then new quartz technology or at minimum self winding movements seemed far more appealing. As a result these models lingered in jewellers cases for a long time. When Rolex introduced the first automatic Daytona in the late 80s it was an instant success.

The only trouble was the mechanism came from Zenith watches. Zenith’s El Primero chronograph was considered the finest automatic chronograph around and was a logical choice for the new Daytona. Whether truth or conjecture it’s hard to say but Zenith could never supply enough movements to supply demand for the new improved very popular Daytona. High demand and low supply combine to make any Daytona a hot commodity today.

The past few decades has seen the Daytona become by far the most sought after watch with prices for early examples selling for more than 10 times original price. The new century marked a milestone for Rolex. After more than 50 years of using other manufacturers movements for their chronographs, they unveiled the first fully in house manufactured chronograph mechanism. Calibre 4130 had an extended power reserve of 3 days, it was a little thinner and was made with fewer components making the movement easier to service and more reliable. Despite having the theoretical ability to manufacture an almost infinite number of new movements and finished watches, Rolex has chosen to keep this model scarce to say the least. Most Rolex authorized agents go quite some time between shipments of new Daytona models. Even on the secondary used market, it’s not uncommon to see the “entry level” stainless steel models selling for above full suggested retail pricing.

Needless to say, when we get a nice used Daytona it’s a special day. Our 18 karat gold and stainless steel example looks practically brand new. There are some light scratches in the tachymeter bezel scale, case and bracelet but overall condition is great. The bracelet shows no sag or stretch.

Purchased new in 2003 it comes with the important original Rolex paperwork with endorsed warranty papers, inner/outer boxes, cardboard sleeve, instruction booklet, USA service guide and chronometer hang tag. The watch was treated to a full service in September 2016 and is ready to supply many years of trouble free service. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers are extending the service warranty until September of 2018. If you’re looking for a Daytona this one should check off all the boxes. Who knows when we’ll be able to offer another.

Estate priced at $14565.00 CAD. Stock #e10123. October 1, 2016 Ladies 18kt. Rolex Datejust 6917 rare burl wood dial $7500.00 CAD.

E9760 You’d never know this ladies Datejust is over 30 years old thanks to the care of its previous owner. The 18 karat yellow gold Rolex Datejust model 6917 was purchased June 28th, 1983 and was only worn on special occasions. A pity really since a watch equipped with a dial as rare as this should be worn proudly and worn often. This is actually the first Rolex burl wood dial we’ve ever had and it’s very striking paired with the all yellow gold of the 26mm Oyster case.

The lightly refinished Oyster bracelet shows only a small amount of stretch and sag. The hidden fold over clasp is made from a special alloy of slightly rose 18 karat gold for greater spring and durability. The Datejust is equipped with an acrylic crystal, date magnifying bubble, signed threaded crown, threaded case back and high polished fluted bezel.

Rolex is one of the few manufacturers producing a smaller sized ladies chronometer grade automatic movement. This is a much more difficult task compared with the larger gents movements due to the larger error rates associated with the smaller components of the tiny 28 jewel calibre 2030. This little movement also features that famous ultra smooth sweeping second hand plus calendar. The Rolex is accompanied by an original service box and paper work as well as a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. An enticing piece for female collectors with an estate price of $7500.00 CAD. Stock #e9760. September 28, 2016 Rolex Submariner 16610LV Anniversary Edition $10190.00 CAD.

E9793 If you’ve been chasing one of these since they came out in 2003 now is your opportunity. Anytime you buy a sought after Rolex sport watch they seem expensive at the time. Looking back in a few years I think you’ll say, “they were so cheap back then.” Such is the case with the 16610 LV. When they first appeared, new and used examples traded hands for well over the original retail price. After the initial hype ended they sold for appropriate values compared to the regular black bezel Submariner. Since the introduction of the modern ceramic bezel 116610 Submariner, all the retired 16610 models have become collectable and the maxi dial LV perhaps the most. This particular example is very desirable as the F serial number places production in the 2003-2004 range (a true 50th anniversary edition). The watch is in excellent original condition.

It still has the green protective case back sticker in place along with the crisp sharp bevelled edges on the case. We have elected to leave the minor scratches and scuffs appropriate for a 13 year old watch that was worn by a mature owner in an office environment. If your prefer a fully refinished restored look, we would be happy to refinish the case/bracelet at no cost. Most collectors prefer a watch in original condition with some patina. Remember, it can only be original once.

Historically speaking original watches are more valuable than those that have been polished and refinished. Every sporty Rolex model has seen significant appreciation in value over the last few years. It may be quite a while before the next green bezel sub comes through and who knows what the price will be then. Comes complete with Rolex box, brochure, plastic tags, and appraisal dated May 2009. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty is included for the estate price of $10190.00. Stock #e9793. Rolex Datejust 69173 blue denim jubilee dial $3780.00 CAD.

E10135 The Rolex Datejust could just be the most popular model the esteemed brand has ever produced. The design has been around for over 70 years with millions of men’s and lady’s examples manufactured.

We see them in various sizes with different bezel, dial and bracelet combinations all the time. Now in our 59th year of operation in downtown Barrie this is the first time we’ve had the blue jubilee colour face. Not only is it blue, but it exhibits the coolest faded denim patina, showing slightly darker in the centre and edges.

I’m not sure how or why the colour has faded like this and I’m sure Rolex didn’t have this in mind when the watch was produced in 1988. The rest of the watch is standard classic Rolex; 26mm oyster case watertight to 100 meters, 18 karat yellow gold fluted bezel, 18 karat and stainless steel jubilee bracelet. Including a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $3780.00 CAD.

E9297 Hey guys, if you’ve got a thing for watches but the significant other doesn’t understand your need for another one, buy her this one. That should put you in the good books for at least the next 3 or 4 additions to your collection. As you know not many ladies Rolex watches show up too often here. When they do it’s usually a two tone Oyster Date. Seldom do we have a ladies Datejust with President bracelet and this is the first time we’ve offered the unusual bark finish version. The current replacement value for an all 18 karat yellow gold ladies Datejust with President bracelet is $23850.00 USD. Our example dates from 1985 and is in good condition showing some associated wear from 3 decades of careful use. The rather short (6.25 inch) bracelet has a little stretch, the crystal has some chips just along the edge between 12:00 and 3:00 that are not easily seen against the perfect condition silver dial. Included with purchase is a factory service box and receipt from 2001.

At this time the watch underwent a complete technical revision on the automatic winding movement plus a new crown, waterproof tube and crystal. Running strong and looking great model 69278 comes with Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty. Estate priced at $7000.00 CAD. Stock #e9297.

September 10, 2016 Rolex Datejust 16233 like new condition with rare dial $9480.00 CAD. E9522 Any Rolex is a desirable thing even if it’s a relatively common model. One could argue there really is no such thing as a rare modern Rolex since the company has been producing well over 1 million watches per year since the 1990s. Datejust 16233 is a model we’ve seen many times at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers but this one is just a little more unique. The “W” serial number places the production around 1994, nothing too rare about that.

What’s interesting is the fantastic condition, the box along with complete paperwork including original bill of sale from Hong Kong for $3403.00 USD. Even the red chronometer plastic seal tag and green serial number tag are still here. I’m sure this one was only worn occasionally for special events. Everything regarding the condition could be described as like new. It’s practically as good as new old stock. Whenever the head is polished the fluted bezel becomes a little more smooth.

Not the case here, it looks perfect with the sharp edged corrugated ring synonymous with the brand. People who know what to look for will always measure the “horizontal sag” of the bracelet. The pyramid name comes from the subtle repeating pattern that almost looks like well crafted quilt. The full Roman numeral hour markers add a sophisticated finishing touch. A 36mm 18 karat and stainless steel Datejust model is still offered today with a retail price of $10900.00 USD. Sadly though if you want one with the attractive pyramid dial it’s no longer available.

Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty the watch is estate priced at $9480.00 CAD. Yes it’s top dollar for this model but this is the best example we’ve ever had and the rare dial makes it the Datejust to have.

The threaded crown and fold over buckle are both signed with the Rolex crown, and the threaded case back reads ORIGINAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX GENEVA. Tudor 92400 is powered by a 21 jewel Swiss made Auto-Princess movement with sweeping seconds and date.

E10114 Without doubt this is the extrovert within the conservative Rolex family of watches. Well because they can, and because everyone was talking about this new giant Rolex, plus it also clearly demonstrated that Rolex are still at the cutting edge of watchmaking skill.

This is one complicated watch. The 100% in house developed calibre 4160 movement consists of 360 components. All the individual parts work in perfect harmony as a countdown timer that’s easily programmed by the Rolex command bezel.

An integrated bright royal blue ceramic bezel along with a red arrow tip hand display an easy to read 1 to 10 minute countdown timer. The timer is a horologic masterpiece with a unique fly-back feature allowing resetting to the nearest countdown minute without stopping the timer first. This enables the user to synchronize the countdown with an audible or visual signal from the yacht race official.

Our example is absolutely perfect. It’s also the ungraded 18 karat “Rolesore Everose” version, Rolex speak for two tone steel and 18 karat rose gold. This is a one owner example in perfect condition. Purchased new April 2015 at a Canadian authorized Rolex agent. The watch retains the balance of the transferable international 2 year warranty. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will extend the factory warranty one full year.

The watch still has protective plastic film on the case back. Purchasing a 116681 Yacht-Master II in the USA will cost you the princely sum of $25150.00 USD making this the most expensive two tone watch Rolex has ever created. Our like new example comes with the original packaging, booklets, and endorsed warranty card.

Don’t wait until Rolex has a price increase in Canada. Perfect estate examples like this one almost never turn up.

Need a dressy watch for a special occasion the beautiful black dial, highly polished case with 18 karat rose gold bezel and bracelet links make the right statement.

Going out on the boat, the 36mm oyster case is water tested to 300 feet. The two way rotating timer bezel is extremely useful as a quick reference for timing any event lasting up to 60 minutes. For an everyday tool watch the Turn-O-Graph excels, sapphire crystal, integrated Jubilee bracelet with hidden clasp, luminous hands and markers, calendar, sapphire crystal with date magnifier and large red second hand. This example was originally purchased in the United Kingdom at the end of 2005.

It comes complete with box, warranty chronometer certificate and even the original plastic hanging tag. This watch looks like new showing little to no evidence of wear.

The original polished/brushed finish is completely intact, the case/bracelet have not been refinished in any way. Just a quick ultra sonic dunk and it’s ready for the next owner. July 28, 2016 Rolex Submariner 116613 $11500.00 CAD. E10027 If ever there was a watch blessed with good karma this one’s has it. The short history of this watch is rather remarkable. It was given as a gift gratitude to a Pastor doing missionary work in eastern Europe. While working along side the Pastor, a man complimented him on the Tissot watch he was wearing.

He asked if he could have it. Without a second thought the Pastor took it off his arm and said why don’t you take it. The unbeknownst wealthy business man then rolled up his sleeve and said, “well then, you should have mine in trade”.

The Pastor accepted the Rolex out of respect, put it into his pocket not giving much thought to the value. Returning to Canada he noticed in wasn’t running so he took it to the Rolex boutique in the airport asking for a new battery. While there he learned about the self winding no battery movement and the value of this wonderful gift. After wearing the Rolex for about six months the Pastor felt selling it and using the proceeds to buy a container of humanitarian aid better suited his calling in life. That’s the story of how we came into this Submariner.

It’s in great condition after going through a light polish and refinishing it’s ready to go. Because it was spontaneously presented to the former owner its lacking the original warranty card, documents and instructions. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers happened to have a brand new Rolex box that we are throwing in along with an extended 3 year warranty. This model has a suggested retail price of $13400.00 USD and $15350.00 CAD. All features and functions are working as designed and the watch is keeping excellent time. Estate priced at $11500.00 CAD.

Stock #e10027. July 20, 2016 Rolex Datejust II 116334 (brand new never worn) $11250.00 CAD. E10005 Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Personally, it’s hard for me to understand but believe it or not there are some people out there that have zero interest in a nice watch or a great piece of jewellery. I realize luxury items are not basic necessities of life like food or shelter, but they sure have an effect on how you feel. Being confident and feeling good are sure to produce positive results in your life. The shine of a beautifully cut diamond ring sparkling in the sunshine; watching the smooth fluid motion of a finely tuned mechanical watch leave many with a strong sense of pride. It’s a feeling that’s hard to describe to those who don’t understand. For some maybe a well tailored suit does the trick, a clean and shiny car might work, or maybe a beautiful new dress and fresh hair style produce similar results. This brand new, never worn Rolex watch didn’t check off the right buttons for someone.

I’m sure we’ll find the person it’s the right accessory for. When I say “brand new” I really mean just that. Given as a gift in December 2015 this watch is perfect in every way, never out of the box until now. It’s as delivered to the original Canadian authorized agent. Every protective plastic sticker still on the watch, plastic bezel protector is there too.

Original packaging, boxes, instructions, endorsed warranty card from a Canadian authorized agent, insurance appraisal and even the paper cardboard sleeve is included with purchase. Being a late 2015 purchase, this watch benefits from the new extended 5 year fully transferable international warranty. The Datejust II is a more contemporary 41mm diameter version compared to the traditional 36mm size.

The new larger size is what current consumers have been asking of Rolex for quite some time. The more sporty oyster bracelet should appeal to a younger consumer looking for a simple, functional look. Our model 116234 comes with the upgraded 18 karat white gold bezel and uncommon factory applied diamond hour markers providing some subtle extra bling. This watch has a suggested retail price of $11050.00 US dollars. With speculation of Canadian price increases coming, our price of $11250.00 Canadian should have this watch on the wrist of a new owner in no time.

Stock #e10005. July 12, 2016 Rolex Datejust 16233 rare hounds tooth diamond dial like new $11000.00 CAD.

E9775 Here’s one for those of you who think you’ve seen it all when it comes to Rolex. Ladies and Gentlemen may I present to you a super rare hounds tooth diamond dial Rolex Datejust 18233. When I first saw it I thought I was looking at a fake.

I’ve never seen so many different design elements incorporated into a single dial. This dial is a huge departure from the typically conservative dial treatments offered by Rolex.

The basic dial is a interlocking silver/champagne hounds tooth pattern but with so much more. 18 karat yellow gold applied Roman numerals plot out the hours along with a set of 10 diamond hour markers. Add to this a black track outline of printed minute markers and you’ve got the ingredients of one very unusual Rolex dial. Love it or hate it, I bet you’ve never seen one like it. According to the original owner the unique dial was specially ordered by a Florida doctor.

When Rolex delivered it after several months he changed his mind and decided not to purchase it. Our customer fell in love with this extraordinary watch and has cherished the watch since 1989. He used it only for special occasions for the next 27 years. The original condition of the watch is testament to its infrequent occasional use. The bracelet shows basically zero stretch or sag. There is hardly a scuff anywhere on the watch aside from a few shallow scratches on the flat surface of the steel buckle.

The fine bevelled lug edges are the best we’ve ever seen showing the crisp edge seen only on the best and new examples. The original green case back sticker is still in place, crystal is 100% absent of chips and scratches, case and bracelet have never been polished or refinished and the traditional 18 karat yellow fluted bezel is sharp and extremely reflective. A simple vacuum test and ultra sonic cleaning and it’s ready for your collection or wrist.

Accompanying the watch is a BIRKS appraisal for insurance from the spring of 1990. Also included with purchase is the original box, Rolex cloth, booklet/brochure, red plastic chronometer tag, green plastic tag showing matching serial number and warranty card from Bailey Banks & Biddle. An all original Rolex this complete is a rare and desirable find. Finding one with the very rare hounds tooth diamond dial is truly exceptional. A complimentary first full service and one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty should provide piece of mind. Estate priced at $11000.00 CAD.

Stock #e9775. July 10, 2016 Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 $7900.00 CAD. E10015 When a regular Submariner just isn’t quite up to the task because it’s only watertight to 1000 feet, you need the Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600. While it looks almost identical to a garden variety Submariner, it’s actually quite different.

First thing you notice is the absence of a date magnifier over the calendar. The synthetic crystal is much thicker that the standard Submariner, as is the stainless steel case which enables the watch a water resistance rating of an amazing 4000 feet. Located on the 9:00 case edge is a Helium escape valve, something the ordinary Submariner lacks.

If you’re living in a pressurized diving bell breathing a mixture of oxygen and helium, your watch will need this escape valve to bleed off the accumulated helium gas as you decompress. This example was manufactured around 1999 according to the “A” serial number. Despite the high level of specification it appears to have been only rarely used showing few signs of wear and tear. The case edges are crisp and sharp, the bracelet links are tight showing virtually no sag or stretch. Sea-Dwellers of this era were the most qualified of all Rolex watches and are considered a very serious machine.

You can’t get them with fancy diamond dials or with gold trim, they only come in all business stainless steel with a jet black glossy dial. This most purposeful of any Rolex is working great, keeping excellent time and comes with a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty. Estate priced at $7900.00. F6 Xp Install Sata Driver. Stock #e10015. July 5, 2016 Rolex Submariner 16613 Tritium Dial $8390.00 CAD.

E10011 It’s a classic bread and butter Rolex collectible. The 16613 is one of Rolex’s most popular and distinctive models.

That bright blue dial/bezel on the 18 karat yellow gold and stainless case is very striking. It’s a design that almost every manufacturer has copied. Often imitated but never duplicated, there is no substitute for the real thing.

The 16613 was produced for over 20 years remaining largely unchanged since the introduction around 1988. One of the subtle changes was the move away from luminous tritium for the hands and hour markers to a more friendly non radio active material called luminova. Tritium begins to show a lovely tan patina over the decades that is very complimentary to the blue dial. At 25 years old this example is just starting to show a soft even tan.

Another subtle change (likely unintended) was the tendency for some dials to slightly colour shift to an amazing more violet/blue hue, especially when viewed at a shallow angle. I can’t really capture the effect with my poor photography skills but this watch definitely has it.

The watch is in very good condition. Sapphire crystal is scratch and scuff free, the crown turns close to two full revolutions before locking down in place. Two links have been removed from the oyster bracelet that shows only minor stretch and sag. It’s running great, keeping excellent time with all functions working as designed. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $8390.00 CAD. Stock #e10011. July 3, 2016 Rolex Oyster Date 15200 $5190.00 CAD.

E8773 It’s coming and it’s likely coming sooner than later. I’m talking about a price increase. The Canadian dollar is currently at a multi year low compared the US dollar. The difference means the closest current version of this Rolex (116200) costs about 20% more in the United States verses Canada after adjusting for currency. Right now Canadians are getting a big discount compared to our American watch connoisseur friends. Rolex likes to keep the global market fairly close in pricing so it only makes sense that a price increase is in the cards for Canadians. Now back to this watch.

It’s perfect. Easy to read thanks to the beautiful glossy white dial, Arabic numerals and big bright luminous hash marks.

It’s dressy enough to wear with jeans and a t-shirt or a black tuxedo at your wedding. It’s a great size for a man who doesn’t need the biggest machine that can’t even fit under a shirt cuff. If you’re a lady who likes the modern look of a slightly larger face you can’t go wrong with this one. Comes complete with box and papers dated February 2010 from a Canadian authorized agent. Excellent overall condition showing only a few light scuffs and scratches on the oyster bracelet and case. We thought is best to leave a few years of light patina visible on the watch.

A no charge very light refinishing is all that would be required to make this one look like new old stock. Even the original green hologram sticker is still on the case back, proof of very light and occasional use. A scratch and chip free synthetic sapphire crystal provides perfect optics with a 2.5 times magnification lens over the calendar. White/Arabic dials are rather unusual and I don’t expect a combination like this to last long. Including a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty the watch is estate priced at $5190.00.

Stock #e8773. June 29, 2016 Rolex Submariner 114060 $8000.00 CAD (like new). E9752 We may need to stop treating like new and barely worn watches as “few and far between” in our estate department. It seems we’ve been getting an influx of them recently. No complaints here of course, they never stay long thanks to the exceptional value they represent. Especially when they come in as this one did, showing maybe three very mild scuffs over the entire watch. If the Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1953 as a utilitarian tool watch this is probably the epitome of that spirit in current Rolex lineup.

All brushed steel and glossy black in a 40mm diameter case size, it’s the most universal looking Submariner. For diving purposes the Rolex 114060 is equipped with a trip lock crown that’s water resistant even when unscrewed and a threaded solid steel case back. The Oysterlock clasp with Glidelock adjustment allows for changing the strap length without any tools, removing the need for the diver’s extension.

The Submariner is powered by their in-house Calibre 3130 Swiss chronometer perpetual movement that features a bidirectional self winding rotor, 48 hour power reserve, and Parachrom hairspring. This specially made hairspring has greater resistance to shock and changes in temperature, which will come in handy if you wear the watch in the conditions Rolex intended it for.

Rated for a depth of 300 meters/1000 feet the Rolex Submariner 114060 is ready for anything with a 5 year factory warranty (less 9 months and counting). The watch is also accompanied by all paperwork, a plastic bezel guard, original Rolex sales tag and chronometer tag, inner and outer box which is in mint condition. Now for that exceptional value mentioned earlier. Rolex suggested retail price for this watch $7500.00 U.S.

June 25, 2016 Rolex Day-Date 18238 $15970.00 CAD. E9845 Buying a used Rolex is an investment as much as it is a lifestyle statement. Often they cost as much as a good used car and making the purchase can be very similar. Not only is the current condition important, you need to know what kind of care it received by the previous owner(s). Our beautiful 18238 Day-Date is a great example of a one owner well cared for classic. Just like buying the least expensive used car may end up costing much more in the long term.

Buying the best example pre-owned watch always proves to be the best investment. Purchased in Canada in 1988 it has been worn by a mature owner for over 25 years. When it needed routine service the watch was sent to Rolex Canada for work. Every piece of original paperwork and subsequent service reports come included with purchase. There are enough receipts that they can hardly fit in the oversized original Rolex box.

This is a carefully enjoyed watch with many decades of reliable service left. The double quickset movement was quite new in 1988 for Rolex and makes day/date/time correction very simple if the watch is left unattended for an extended period. The original very expensive leather bound Rolex box is in the best condition I’ve ever seen. Included with purchase are 2 perfect condition links removed from the iconic President bracelet the day watch was delivered new in Toronto at a Rolex authorized agent. A current Rolex Day-Date model 118238 carries a USD suggested retail price of $31350.00 (a little less in Canada at only $36050.00 CAD). While this may not be the least expensive previously enjoyed Day-Date, it is most certainly the most complete and considering it is over 25 years old the condition is very good.

The bracelet is showing a little sag but is much better than most of this age. Classic pale silver/champagne dial with stick markers is perfect and the 18 karat gold hands look like new. A super hard synthetic crystal is scratch and scuff free. A Rolex Day-Date is a watch that is on many bucket lists. The look hasn’t changed in decades. Unlike a used car this is something you won’t need to replace ever again. Including all the original documents, paperwork, inner and outer boxes plus a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $15970.00 CAD. Stock #e9845.

June 9, 2016 Rolex Datejust 1601 with 18 karat white gold bezel $3980.00 CAD. E9736 Classic vintage Rolex 1601. The Datejust has been around for over 70 years and doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon. This example dates from 1971 according to the lower 3 million serial number. The 18 karat white gold bezel, newer style jubilee bracelet and a beautiful glossy black refinished dial have this one looking decidedly dressy. Imagine this watch with your favorite perfectly tailored suit. It’s a look that doesn’t go bad.

The 36mm case size has also stood the test of time. When ultra thin rectangular quartz watches were so popular in the 80s and 90s Rolex continued to thumb their nose at the current trend and just keep on producing the regular thick automatic Datejust. Today we see giant 45mm and bigger size watches yet Rolex still sells the 36mm Datejust all the time. Rolex does offer a newer Datejust II available as a 41mm but the original still looks the most balanced in my eyes. Working great and keeping excellent time, this watch is ready to take on the next 40 years of the ever changing world of fashionable trendy brands. If you don’t want your watch to become dated a classic Datejust is the safest way to go.

They are always welcome back for trade; especially one with a black dial. Good overall condition showing a little wear in the supremely comfortable jubilee bracelet. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $3890.00. Stock #e9736. May 16, 2016 Ladies Rolex Datejust 179174 with jubilee dial $8000.00 CAD. E9715 The all white look continues to be the most popular choice when it comes to jewellery and watches for both men and women. They say traditional yellow gold is making a comeback but for conservative brands like Rolex, white gold, stainless steel and platinum are by far the most asked for.

This Rolex Datejust 179174 is just about as monochromatic as you can get. The classic 26mm oyster case is constructed of 904L high grade stainless steel. This exotic alloy is milled to exacting standards by specialty suppliers then completely machined and manufactured in house by Rolex. It is more resistant to corrosion than the industry standard 316L stainless and can be to polished to a superior finish. An 18 karat white gold fluted bezel locks down the synthetic sapphire crystal and is an integral part in keeping the oyster case watertight to 300 feet.

The beautiful jubilee dial is a collage of the word ROLEX repeated over and over (talk about subliminal brand re-enforcement). Ten exceptional quality single cut diamonds plot out the hour markers in typical Rolex fashion. The slightly more feminine all stainless steel jubilee bracelet finishes off the tone on tone look. The watch dates from 2005 and comes complete with the original inner/outer box, brochure booklet, factory service receipt and a 1 year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. Datejust model 179174 with factory diamond dial has a suggested retail price of $9200.00 USD. Our estate example is estate priced at $8000.00. Stock #e9715. May 15, 2016 Rolex Oyster Date 15200 $3980.00 CAD.

E9893 A basic black dial Rolex with the slightly more sporty oyster bracelet always looks just right. The perfect weekend casual accessory with a golf shirt and your favorite pair of jeans. There is nothing more cool looking and subtle than a modest sized Rolex that isn’t trying to impress with gadgets and overwhelming bulk. They look great on an average size arm.

Comes with the preferred black tritium dial that is in perfect condition, not showing a speck or blemish of any kind. Manufactured in 1990 the watch is in excellent condition. Aside from a few small chips along the sapphire crystal edge at 2:00 you’d think the watch is only a few years old. People either hang on to their black dial Rolex or not many were sold in the 80s and 90s because they certainly don’t show up nearly as often compared to lighter tone dials.

The 34mm case size is at home on the smaller to average sized man’s arm or on a lady who is looking for something a little larger. Working great and keeping excellent time the watch comes with a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty. Estate priced at $3980.00 CAD. Stock #e9893.

May 1, 2016 Rolex President Day-Date 1803 $9500.00 CAD. E8391 It’s been some time since an estate Rolex Day-Date has come in, so this one is pretty exciting to have with the more rare Jubilee bracelet option.

Many people recognize this watch as a Rolex President but officially it’s known as a Day-Date. Only the standard issue 3 segment “pillow” link is what Rolex call the “President” bracelet. In all the years of selling estate Rolex watches this is the first time we have offered a Day-Date on a Jubilee style bracelet.

Model 1803 dates from around 1962 and is in very good condition for a 50 plus year old watch. The classic champagne dial has an interesting and slightly more unusual textured pattern. The bracelet is showing the expected amount of stretch for a half century model, but then again aren’t we all. This solid gold 18 karat masterpiece is the benchmark of achievement for Rolex.

The chronometer rated 26 jewel calibre 1556 is keeping great time just as it has done for the past 50 years. This movement has been adjusted in 5 different positions and compensated for temperature changes in order to achieve the Rolex “Superlative Chronometer” designation. The Rolex Day-Date is still the ultimate Rolex made today with a starting price of nicely over $30000.00. Although this example is over 50 years old Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers includes a one year warranty. With reasonable care there is no reason this vintage timepiece can’t go at least another 50 years. Estate price $9500.00. Stock #e8391. April 30, 2016 Vintage 1967 Rolex Submariner 5513 $12950.00 CAD.

E9528 I have to admit. This one almost didn’t make it to our estate department, it came close to ending up on my wrist (it still may do so). The condition is outstanding for a watch from the mid 1960s.

Hardly a scratch to be found. The 5513 Rolex Submariner is the essence of a functional sport watch. Serious collectors prefer the no date models due to the cleaner more simple look. All early Submariners lacked the day of month display.

A date feature didn’t appear until model 1680 debuted around 1967. Many feel the added complexity and dial information takes away from the pure purpose and focus of this the ultimate tool watch.

The folded 11 link bracelet is also in great shape showing very little wear. A small and rare detail makes this example extremely desirable. For a short time the depth rating on Submariners was shown with meters printed before the imperial measurement. No one knows for sure why ROLEX changed to “feet first”. One theory is because the USA is their largest client and a foot rating would make more sense as many Americans wouldn’t be as familiar with a meter. Whatever the reason, the change was made feet first. To this day the order for every Rolex with a depth rating on dial is now feet before meters. It’s the dial condition that really makes this one stand out.

Perfect best describes the dial. Not a scratch, smear or stain anywhere. The tritium hour markers have taken on the slightest even tan patina that collectors look for.

They don’t come by like this very often. Freshly serviced and running great the watch comes with our 1 year warranty. Estate priced at $12950.00 CAD. Stock #e9528. April 25, 2016 Rolex Day-Date on president bracelet 1803 $11000.00 CAD.

E9378 If you snooze you lose. Especially if your considering the purchase of a vintage Rolex.

There are few more iconic watches than a Rolex Day-Date with president bracelet. All Day-Date models are 18 karat yellow or white gold and sometimes platinum. There are no “starter” stainless steel versions like many other Rolex varieties. This is the top of the line today as it was in 1971 when this watch was no doubt someone’s pride and joy. Perhaps a well deserved reward of achievement or maybe a personal life goal fulfilled. Whatever the occasion the watch was worn with pride for over 40 years. Now it’s time for a new owner to take over for the next few decades. The president bracelet on this model 1803 example is showing some stretch and wear but is still wearable with many more years of useful service left.

No significant dents or dings are visible showing careful treatment over the many years of use. It does display significant horizontal sag. The 22 link President bracelet contains 22 links enabling the watch to fit a wrist measuring up to 7.75 inches (extra links are available). The finished weight of 121.3 grams will feel great on your arm. The classic champagne dial is in perfect condition, no discolouration or stains of any kind.

On your wrist only a keen eyed Rolex aficionado would be able to tell this watch is not much much newer than it actually is. Within the last few years the previous owner had a full service preformed at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers to ensure many future years of use. The threaded crown turns a full 360 degrees before popping out and the plastic crystal is scratch free.

A new Day-Date from Rolex sells for $31250.00 USD. Don’t sleep on this one too long or it’ll be gone. Including our one year warranty the watch estate priced at $11000.00 CAD. Stock #e9378.

April 18, 2016 Rare OysterQuartz Day-Date 19018 $12980.00 CAD. E9783 If ever there was a future collectable Rolex, Day-Date model 19018 has got to be close to the top of the list. In the 1970s Rolex decided to join the world of electronic battery operated quartz watches and manufactured their own in house movement.

The public received this new Rolex with a lukewarm reception at best. It was a very slow selling model but managed to stick around until approximately the year 2000 when it was quietly retired. It has been estimated that only around 25000 Oysterquartz watches were produced during the entire 25 year production run making it one of the rarest regular production Rolex watches. We’ve seen a few steel examples and the occasional two tone Datejust OysterQuartz but this is the first Day-Date we’ve ever been able to offer.

In fact I’ve only ever seen one other 18 karat gold Oysterquartz in person before.

Our example, serial number 6566334 was manufactured in 1980. It features the iconic Rolex fluted bezel and beautiful original light champagne tritium dial making for a very sophisticated look. The OysterQuartz wasn’t a low cost alternative to the traditional automatic perpetual movement.

We have an old price list from the fall of 1999 showing the all gold OysterQuartz with a retail price of $24490.00, only $190.00 less than its very common automatic sibling. Our example was fully serviced at Rolex less than one year ago. Overall condition is excellent, there is almost no stretch or sag in the bracelet although it’s missing a link or two. It only looks a few years old, nowhere near its true age of 36.

A thick, heavy, square bulky case with flat link bracelet still look very modern today. The 18 karat gold links on the integrated bracelet are all of solid construction unlike the links on the president style bracelet of the time that were all hollow. This is a very heavy watch weighing just under 150 grams. An automatic Day-Date from the same era only weighs around 125 grams. Those familiar with the brand will quickly realize just how rare a watch like this is. If this watch tweaks some interest visit for more information on the remarkable Oysterquartz and a little bit of its history. The watch comes with a Rolex service box, brochure, polishing cloth and balance of the factory 2 year service warranty.

Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will extend the service warranty one year for added piece of mind. These OysterQuartz watches are really cool and need to be seen in person to truly appreciate their quality.

Estate priced at $12980.00 CAD. Stock #e9783. April 16, 2016 Tudor Ranger 79910 only worn a few times $2800.00 CAD. E9735 Tudor has been Rolex’s effort at capturing the mid range luxury watch market since 1952 when they launched the the first Tudor Oyster Prince.

Focusing on that mid market price point has allowed them to be at little more adventurous and diverse in their offerings. With something like the popular Black Bay mirroring Rolex’s iconic sporty diver look and this Heritage Ranger taking on the high end sport/utility watch segment. Ranger model 79910 is all brushed steel with a bold black dial and ultra readable luminous hands and dial markers.

The 41mm diameter watch is equipped with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, screw on case back, and screw down crown embossed with the Tudor rose. It’s powered by a Swiss made Tudor Calibre 2824 (ETA 2824) that features a 38 hour power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 150 meters and was based on a design from the late 60s. Tudor offers the Heritage Ranger 79910 with four different straps, two of which accompany this barley worn model: the Bund leather strap with folding steel buckle and safety catch and the NATO style one piece camouflage fabric strap with its own steel buckle. It is accompanied by inner and outer box, paperwork, and the balance of the two year transferable international Tudor warranty.

Delivered originally from a Toronto Ontario authorized agent with endorsed warranty dated May 1 2015. Estate price $2800.00 CAD. Stock #e9735. April 15, 2016 Rolex Datejust 16013 $4260.00 CAD.

E9318 A gents Rolex Datejust is not an uncommon sight on the wrist of a watch connoisseur; but the vintage nature of this one made me look twice. The basic design hasn’t changed in over half a century but the subtle changes Rolex slowly incorporate are what keep collectors searching for the rare and unusual. The silver dial is a welcome change from the typically encountered champagne colour. What I most like about the dial are the solid 18 karat yellow gold hour markers.

The combination of brushed texture dome profile with the bevelled ends are definitely a little different than the square section flat rectangular markers seen on most examples. The markers, the soft tan patina of the luminous material, the unique optics of the plastic crystal and soft feel of a well worn jubilee bracelet make this otherwise garden variety Rolex a desirable vintage collectable. The 6.4 million serial number places production of the watch around 1980. As mentioned, the jubilee bracelet is showing wear and some degree of stretch appropriate for the age. The bracelet still has decades of life left in it.

Measuring 36mm diameter makes this watch suitable for anyone. Men like the classic sophisticated look and many women love wearing a slightly bigger easier to read watch. A brand new modern Rolex 116233 Datejust like this has a price of $10900.00 USD. Including Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty this watch is estate priced at $4260.00 CAD.

Stock #e9318. Rolex GMT Master II 16713 “Root Beer” $12000.00 CAD. E9708 Every Rolex is collectible to a degree, some more so than others.

What distinguishes the most collectible are not only the uncommon and rare models but also their story and history. The history of the GMT is a notable one that goes back to the 1950s. High speed long distance air travel was becoming the norm and pilots travelled across multiple time zones in a single trip. They needed a watch that could keep track of a worldwide standardized time plus the local time of where they currently are. Greenwich Mean Time was adopted as the constant. This constant time is displayed by the long thin arrow style 2nd hour hand on the watch and displays hours on the outer bezel in a 24 hour format.

Daylight hours (6:00am to 6:00pm) are displayed on a lovely light champagne colour while night the nighttime hours (6:00pm to 6:00am) are shown on the iridescent brown bezel section. The regular hour hand can quickly and easily be adjusted independent of the long 24 hour hand. It may sound a little confusing but in practice it’s quite clever and easy to use. Overall condition is very good, the original oyster bracelet shows almost no stretch or sag. You don’t need to be pilot to love a GMT Master.

Anyone who needs to keep track of local time in a 12 and 24 hour format (nurses, police, military etc.) will love how easy the watch is to read and interpret. Our GMT II Master 16713 has a good story too. This rare “root beer” version was purchased brand new by the one and only owner in May 2006 at Bucherer in Geneva Switzerland. Just down the road from the Rolex factory in the same Swiss city. He purchased the watch as a reward to himself for successfully landing a business deal. The watch comes with everything from that spring day 10 years ago. The original box is in blemish free condition (even still smells like a brand new Rolex box), endorsed punched warranty paper, instruction booklet, card holder wallet and the original bill of sale with American Express receipt still attached.

Also included are period correct catalogues with price lists in Canadian dollars and Swiss francs. At ten years old it can hardly be considered vintage, but down the road this is the one you want own. Rare dial along with more than complete history and paperwork will guarantee it is the most desirable GMT Master II around. We have decided to leave the watch in 100% original condition. It has never been polished or refinished in any way, still retaining the original factory finished bevelled lug edges.

We will refinish the case to look like new if one want, but please remember they’re only original once. Including a one year warranty the watch is estate priced at $12000.00 CAD. Stock #e9708. April 14, 2016 Rolex Submariner 16613LN $10000.00 CAD (just serviced).

E9028 When the Rolex Submariner debuted in 1953 it was regarded strictly as a highly functional “tool” type watch. Model 11613 came out in the late 1980s and featured the then new Rolex caliber 3135 movement that powered submariners for the next 25 years.

This movement is considered one of the most durable and reliable available. An almost 50 hour power reserve is longer than most other automatic watches. Retired from production in 2009 has made the 16613 just a little more desirable. Replacement model 116613 is still 40mm diameter but now comes with a ceramic bezel insert, updated case and bracelet but still has the familiar look that was established decades ago. A brand new 116613 will also run you $13400.00 USD. This example dates from 1991 and includes the original box with endorsed warranty papers.

These are showing up less and less as collectors are beginning to take good examples off the market. A full technical revision was just performed on the watch that included an original factory crystal, crystal gasket, case gasket, bezel insert, vacuum and pressure testing. At the same time the case and bracelet were professionally refinished and polished to like new. Overall condition is very good showing original bevelled lug edges and very little sag/stretch in the oyster bracelet. It now looks practically like new old stock. You would never guess it was made 25 years ago.

Comes complete with original box and paperwork. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty is included for the estate price of $10000.00 CAD. Stock #e9028.

April 13, 2016 Rolex Datejust 68273 31mm case size $5300.00 CAD. E9432 Rolex has always been the most popular estate brand that we offer and most of the examples we receive are mens. Some women wear the 34 to 36mm gent’s oyster Date and Datejust models because many feel the regular ladies Datejust at 26mm is simply too small for that modern look. Well here’s your chance to get the less common but often requested Datejust 31mm. Not too big and not too small, it’s the GoldiLocks size that’s juuuuuust right. This example is the classic combination of 18 karat yellow gold with stainless steel, fluted bezel and champagne dial.

The dial also has the much sought after tapestry striped finish that really compliments the dressier nature of the jubilee bracelet. The sapphire crystal was just replaced with a factory original along with gasket kit, vacuum test and full case/bracelet refinishing making the watch look like new. The L serial number places production around 1989. Overall condition is very good although the bracelet does display the expected amount of horizontal sag associated with more than two decades of use. The 31mm Datejust is one of the more popular models and Rolex is still making the same size watch. Although today it has a current retail price of $9700.00 USD. Our example is estate priced at just $5300.00 CAD including a one year warranty. Stock #e9432.

April 11, 2016 Daytona Cosmograph 116520 $14888.00 CAD. E9388 It’s been said, when you see a good Rolex Daytona for sale buy it now and worry about the price later. There’s not another watch on the planet that’s as coveted as the Daytona. We have sold 1000s of watches at Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers over the last 58 years, but you can count the number of estate Rolex Daytona that have passed through our doors on just one hand. “Sellers remorse” comes to mind when I think of what we sold them for then compared to what they are worth today.

For a blue chip investment watch you can do no better. The all stainless steel case black or white dial versions have always been the most sought after. Model 116520 dates from 2005 and is in very good to excellent condition. There are some small shallow scratches on the case, bezel and bracelet appropriate for a decade old watch that saw occasional use.

The watch remains in its original condition. It has never been polished or refinished in any way. The coronet logo on the flip lock buckle still shows perfect relief just as it did leaving the factory in Geneva.

Rolex has taken several price increases in Canada over the last couple years and they’re likely to have another as the Canadian dollar continues to trade very low compared to the USD and Swiss Franc. Included with watch is the original inner/outer box and warranty card from a Canadian authorized agent. Finding an all steel Daytona for sale in Canada complete with box and paperwork is a very rare occurrence. Finding one in this type of condition around here is almost unheard of. Right now you might be saying, “I can’t believe I’m considering paying $14888.00 for a used Daytona”. Ten years from now I bet you’ll be saying “I can’t believe I ONLY paid $14888.00 for this Daytona”. Included with purchase is a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. We are a “bricks and mortar” business established in 1958 operating from the same location for 58 years. Feel free to come in and inspect this watch in person along with 1000s of other estate offerings.

No need to worry about purchasing from an unknown online vendor and no extra 5% duty importing a luxury watch from a NON Canadian vendor. Stock #e9833. April 2, 2016 Rolex Oyster 67180 $2298.00 CAD. E9780 Oversized watches are certainly very popular right now. Every major brand is showing watches well over 40mm diameter in both men’s and ladies models. 3 decades ago when this watch was new a 25mm case size like this one was considered pretty big for a ladies watch. At the time ultra thin and tiny watches featuring small quartz technology was what everyone wanted.

The Japanese brand Seiko was by far the most popular brand, even making advances into the luxury watch world with solid gold models costing thousands of dollars. Those watches have all come and gone while Rolex continued making their simple looking oyster models. Even today the entry Rolex looks just like this but the size is now 1mm larger at 26mm. The price has also changed, a basic Oyster Perpetual now retails at $4850.00 USD. Our little Rolex 67180 has just undergone a full technical revision including servicing to the automatic Swiss made movement, calibration, gasket kit, vacuum testing and case/bracelet refinishing. It should be good for the next decade when I’m sure it still will be in style. The watch is in very good condition showing some stretch in the bracelet but not too much given its 1987 vintage.

The dial and hands are showing some patina in the form of minor spotting and oxidation. If you like a more dressy look, the jubilee style bracelet on this example is the obvious choice not to mention the superior comfort offered by the super flexible design. The simple silver dial tone on tone format with basic time only display refines the classic looks. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty this quintessential Rolex is estate priced at $2298.00.

Not many ladies Rolex come through our estate department and we don’t expect this one to last too long. March 29, 2016 Rolex Air-King 114200 $5500.00 CAD.

E9469 Current collectible or future collectable? Without a doubt it’s both. The Rolex Air-King has been around in one form or another for about 70 years. This basic looking oyster case Rolex was first labeled Air-King as a tribute to Britain’s Royal Air Force who participated in the battle of Britain. The RAF pilots of the time preferred using the Rolex oyster over the standard issue lower quality watches. The robust design and relatively large case size made them the perfect pilot tool for quick time interpretation.

If you visit your local Rolex agent to buy a modern 34mm 114200 you’ll notice the dial no longer reads Air-King. The traditional 34mm size/style Oyster Perpetual “Air-King” era looks to be over making this example one of the last as it was purchased brand new January 2015. Previously owned by a long time client of Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers who cautiously used the watch from time to time.

The watch is in immaculate condition looking truly unworn. Scrambled serial number, late production date, more uncommon blue dial, inner/outer box plus cardboard sleeve, paperwork, original price tag, chronometer tag, plastic product tag all in perfect condition guarantee this a very desirable example. I love the blue and it’s so nice I almost want to keep it for myself. It reminds me of something my Dad used to say, “never fall in love with your inventory”.

So with those words in mind we are offering this amazing example for $5500.00 CAD including the balance of factory warranty plus a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers extended warranty. Stock #e9469. March 26, 2016 Rolex Yacht-Master II 116680 worn 3 times $18400.00 CAD. Without doubt this is the extrovert within the conservative Rolex family of watches. Of the millions of watches they’ve produced over the last 100 plus years, most are average sized time only models with perhaps a calendar function and that’s about it. There are a few specialty versions available with chronograph or dual time feature but even these are housed in subtle oyster cases of a moderate 40mm case size. In 2007 when Rolex introduced the solid gold Yacht-Master II the watch world took notice.

Why would the ultra traditional brand introduce such an audacious narrowly focused watch. Well because they can, because everyone was talking about this new giant Rolex and because it demonstrates that they’re still at the cutting edge of watchmaking skill.

This is one complicated watch, the 100% in house developed calibre 4160 movement consists of 360 components. All the individual parts work in perfect harmony as a countdown timer that’s easily programmed by the Rolex command bezel. The integrated bright blue ceramic bezel along with a red arrow tip hand display a 1 to 10 minute countdown timer. The timer is a horologic masterpiece with a unique fly-back feature allowing resetting to the nearest countdown minute without stopping the timer first. This enables the user to synchronize the countdown with an audible or visual signal from the yacht race official. If the regular stop/reset sequence is used the timer returns to the mechanically preprogrammed setting. It’s a really slick feature that could also work for creating the perfect soft boiled egg or maybe timing the ultimate steak on the barbecue.

At 44mm diameter this is just about the largest Rolex on the market. The only dial colour available is brilliant white with blue and red details strengthening the yachting theme. Our example is absolutely perfect.

According to the first and only owner it was worn a few times for special events perhaps a total of 15 hours. Purchased new April 2015 at a Canadian authorized Rolex agent the watch retains the balance of the transferable international 2 year warranty. The watch still has protective plastic film on the case back, buckle and bracelet end links.

Purchasing a Yacht-Master II in the USA will cost you the princely sum of $18750.00 USD making this the most expensive stainless watch Rolex has ever created. Our like new example comes with the original packaging, booklets, endorsed warranty card and even the plastic bezel guard. Don’t wait until Rolex has a price increase in Canada. Perfect estate examples like this one almost never turn up. Estate priced at $18400.00 CAD. Stock #e9751. March 19, 2016 Rolex 1002 underline dial $5000.00 CAD.

E9663 The headline should tweak some interest but the rest of this package is also quite interesting for an otherwise pedestrian Rolex. It’s not a Daytona, Submariner, GMT or other sporty super collectable Rolex. It’s just an average chronometer grade Rolex. Aside from the very rare extra bit of black paint underlining the text it’s everything else that comes with this one owner watch that makes it so intriguing. Ever seen an original 50 year old Rolex foil price tag displaying an original price of just $210.00 along side a green chronometer string tag with matching serial number. I’ve never seen these two little accessories.

The original faceted top green box is also here. Neatly folded away in the box is the original endorsed Rolex warranty card dated 26th. January 1966. The original chronometer certificate dated 16 October 1964 also is included displaying the matching serial number. Sadly at some point during the last 50 years the original movement was changed with a correct factory replacement calibre 1560.

Some watch forensics suggests moisture damage was the reason for the new movement as a newer style twin lock crown has been fitted and the luminous tritium hour markers are missing from the otherwise perfect silver dial. Another very rare item fit to the watch is an oyster style 6635 expansion bracelet showing almost no stretch or sag. I’ve never seen a better example of a Rolex expansion bracelet. A genuine Rolex replacement buckle has been fitted to the original bracelet. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers just performed a full technical revision on the movement and replaced gaskets. No polishing or refinishing has been done on the case to the best of our knowledge. The case and bracelet display only minimal signs of use; it’s the best example of a 1002 we’ve ever seen. It will make a notable addition for the Rolex collector looking for something a little different and a great conversation piece.

Including everything pictured plus a one year warranty this vintage Rolex is estate priced at $5000.00 CAD. Stock #e9663. March 9, 2016 Rolex 1601 Datejust $4500.00 CAD. E9615 Rolex are not rare watches by modern standards. The Swiss factory in Geneva is cranking out more than 1 million examples per year.

Since the Datejust debuted in 1945 it has been one of the most popular in the line. Super functional and versatile, it’s the choice of many that appreciate most of the features from the specialty models but without the narrow focus and cost. It doesn’t show the day of the week like the Day-Date model but for less than half the cost most people can figure out what the day of the week is. While not as watertight as a Submariner the Datejust 100 meter rating should be sufficient for most of us whose ears start to hurt in the deep end of the backyard swimming pool. The Datejust just may be the perfect watch creation. This example was made in the mid 1960s and I just love the champagne dial with black Roman numerals. A basic champagne dial with raised stick hour markers is likely the most often encountered dial around.

I haven’t seen printed Roman numbers on champagne very often. Dial condition can make or break a more common vintage watch and this example is perfect. No stains, no scratches, no scuffs, no issues of any kind. Connected minute track emphasizes the turned down dial edge and reinforces the vintage look. Solid gold 18 karat hands are also in amazing condition. The rest of the watch is in very good condition for a watch more than half a century old. The jubilee bracelet is showing a good amount of wear but even when new the oval link design was never tight like a modern bracelet. It’s flexible and ultra comfy with decades of life left in it. Current Datejust 116233 Rolex looking almost identical to this one can be had for $10900.00 USD but it’s not available with black Roman numerals on champagne dial.

Working well and keeping great time. The 26 jewel fully adjusted chronometer grade Rolex calibre 1570 should be good for another 50 years with the occasional service.

Including a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty the watch is estate priced at $4500.00 CAD. Stock #e9615. February 27, 2016 Rolex Datejust 16013 $4500.00 CAD.

E8934 If in ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The basic Rolex Datejust formula hasn’t changed in 70 years. The Jubilee bracelet, the coin edge fluted bezel, oyster case and champagne dial are still one of the most popular combinations, just as they were when the model was introduced in 1945. This example is a model 16013 and dates from the mid 1980s.

At just about 30 years old I would consider this a vintage watch. It may be 30 years old but it looks like it’s only been worn a few years. Many Rolex watches see only occasional use so good condition older examples are not too uncommon. There is very little stretch or sag in the 18 karat yellow gold/stainless steel Jubilee bracelet and the buckle snaps with a reassuring secure snap. In fact the only obvious clue that this is an older model are the slightly different optical properties offered by the plastic crystal. Very good overall condition with only a couple of small case dings on the sharp bottom edges of the 36mm diameter case. Running well and keeping good time.

Included with purchase is a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty. The current model of this watch (116233) looks almost identical and carries a retail price of $10800.00 USD. Our 30 year old example is estate priced at $4500.00 CAD. Stock #e8934. February 26, 2016 Rolex Datejust II 116234 (brand new never used) $11250.00 CAD. E9606 Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Personally, it’s hard for me to understand but believe it or not there are some people out there that have zero interest in a nice watch or a great piece of jewellery. I realize luxury items are not basic necessities of life like food or shelter but they sure have an effect on how you feel. Being confident and feeling good are sure to produce positive results in your life. The shine of a nicely cut diamond ring sparkling in the sunshine; watching the smooth fluid motion of finely tuned mechanical watch leave many with a strong sense of pride. It’s a feeling that’s hard to describe to those who don’t understand. For some maybe a well tailored suit does the trick, a clean and shiny car might work, or maybe a beautiful new dress and fresh hair style produce similar results. This brand new never worn Rolex watch didn’t check off the right buttons for someone, but I’m sure we’ll find the person it’s the right accessory for.

When I say “brand new” I really mean just that. Given as a gift in December 2015 this watch is perfect in every way. As delivered to the original Canadian authorized agent. Every protective plastic sticker still on the watch, plastic bezel protector is there too.

Original packaging, boxes, instruction, endorsed warranty card, insurance appraisal, paper cardboard sleeve and even a Rolex shopping bag are included with purchase. Being a late 2015 purchase this watch benefits from the new extended 5 year fully transferable international warranty.

The Datejust II is a more contemporary 41mm diameter version compared to the traditional 36mm. The new larger size is what current consumers have been asking of Rolex for quite some time. The more sporty oyster bracelet is the only style offered for the Datejust II.

Stock #e9606. February 21, 2016 Rolex Datejust II 116300 perfect perfect perfect $7000.00 CAD.

E9634 Originally owned by customer who just wasn’t using it. He already owned a Rolex Submariner and thought he wanted something slightly dressier. The bigger case size, the look of the much bigger dial and giant luminous hour markers were compelling features. After wearing it just a few times he decided the Submariner was his preferred look and style. Imagine that; owning two very popular Rolex models and having to decide which one you like best (talk about a first world problem). That’s it, pretty simple story. This is a Canadian delivered watch purchased in March 2015 from an Ontario authorized agent. As mentioned it was only worn a few times and the all original condition speaks to this statement.

Never polished or refinished in any manner. The remaining balance of the transferable factory warranty is included. Once that expires Bill LeBoeuf Jewellers will extend an additional one year in house warranty.

Original inner/outer boxes, endorsed warranty card with holder, instructions, and all accessories come included. Even the clear plastic bezel guard that protects the smooth shiny bezel while on display is there. This watch has a suggested retail price of $7150.00 USD. Our pristine example with the favored glossy black dial is estate priced at $7000.00 CAD. Stock #e9634. February 14, 2016 Tudor Prince Oysterdate 9071/3 $1200.00 CAD.

E8348 If you ever wanted to get into the collector Rolex market but didn’t want to spend $5000.00 to $10000.00 to do it here is a great entry point. When it’s time to trade up to a big boy Rolex this one should offer great trade in potential. It looks like a Rolex, it’s made by Rolex, the Oyster case, bracelet and crown are all Rolex. The Tudor brand has always been manufactured by Rolex but usually come with a modified Swiss movement made by someone else. In this case the movement is an automatic winding 25 jewel 2784 made by ETA equipped with a hacking second hand and calendar. I like this watch because it has an unusual dial with a dark brownish gray bronze colour that I have never seen before. A rare colour like this should make for an easy sell when the time comes to trade in this vintage watch made around 1970.

The watch comes with a well worn Oyster link Rolex bracelet number 7835. The traditional fluted solid 14 karat yellow gold bezel helps to instantly identify this watch as a product from the most famous of all Swiss manufacturers. Including Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1 year warranty the watch is estate priced at $1200.00 CAD. Stock #e8348. January 29, 2016 Rolex Submariner 18 karat gold and stainless steel 16613 $9300.00 CAD. E8913 Hardly a week goes by that someone isn’t asking for an estate Rolex Submariner. The Submariner has got to be the most sought after model Rolex has ever made.

Sometimes when one comes in it doesn’t even make to our website before someone snaps it up. This Model 16613 dates from 2003 and is in excellent condition for a 13 year old watch. The synthetic sapphire crystal is scratch and nick free. The royal blue dial and bezel too are in great shape. The 12 link bracelet has effectively no stretch or sag. 16613 was retired a few years ago when Rolex introduced the new ceramic bezel version with a retail price of $13,400.00USD. The watch is running great keeping excellent time and all functions are working as designed.

The screw down crown gives a full 1.5 turns to unlock. This watch is in great shape and looks like it was only worn occasionally. Being a 2003 model our example benefits from a few very useful and sought after design improvements that earlier Submariners lack. The case has solid lugs without the spring bar holes piercing the outside giving a more sophisticated refined appearance. Solid bracelet end links and solid push button divers extension links are exponentially more strong than the previous generation of stamped end sections. The 18 karat yellow gold centre bracelet stripe is carried over the buckle compared to the much more basic all steel buckle found on the earlier two tone Submariners. These upgrades make this example the one to own especially since they are considered collectable now that they have been replaced with the ceramic version.

A full 1 year warranty is included along with a Rolex service box for the estate price of $9300.00. Stock #e8913. January 14, 2016 Tudor Prince Oysterdate 90501 $1500.00 CAD. E9086 One owner, exclusively serviced at Rolex Canada or Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers since new. Comes with a ton of original documents including service cards, warranty cards from Rolex, receipts for previous service, instructions, inner and outer boxes all in excellent original condition. An original gift receipt from The Robert Simpson Company Ltd.

Toronto shows a date of purchase from July 1 1974. It’s an amazing time capsule for anyone who has an interest in owning a classic Tudor watch. Overall watch condition is excellent.

The unpolished gold plated 34.5mm case looks great with only the tiniest amount of wear on the top case lug edges. A blemish free plastic crystal displays a beautiful pale champagne dial with stick hour markers in excellent shape. Keeping time within the famous Rolex oyster case is a quick set ETA calibre 2824 movement than has been modified to Tudor specification.

Attached to the case is a gold plated Rolex USA oyster bracelet showing much more wear than the watch case. It’s a nice watch for sure but it’s the completeness of the entire package that makes it so interesting. I’ve never seen a package so thorough and in such great condition. The cardboard outer box edges are still nice and sharp with all the seams intact. With a brand new 18mm Hirsch leather strap fitted the watch looks practically new and gives a slightly dressier look. New leather strap and Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers one year warranty are included for the estate priced of $1500.00 CAD. Stock #e9086.

January 11, 2016 Rolex Yacht-Master 40mm 16623 $12000.00 CAD. E9441 The Rolex Yacht-Master is often confused with a Submariner. The confusion is easy to understand as both watches are the same size, have a rotating bezel indexed for 60 minutes, have the large super water tight triplock crowns, large luminous dial markers with the same style hands. Where they differ is the Yacht-Master is a little less narrowly focused in design.

A totally polished case and solid 18 karat yellow gold bezel give it a more dressy jewellery look. This is still a watch that can be worn for all activities. Its famous oyster case provide a conservative water resistance rating at a mere 300 feet.

The two way indexed bezel is a handy device useful for timing any event lasting less than 60 minutes. I’ve heard people using this simple feature for everyday things like parking meters, lunch hours or even timing the perfect steak on the barbeque.

Bright oversized luminous hands and dial markers offer excellent contrast against the navy blue dial allowing effective time interpretation under all lighting conditions. This example is just 2 years old and comes with all the original packaging including inner/outer boxes, warranty card, instructions etc. It even has the outside cardboard sleeve, original bill of sale receipt with sales associate business card. The endorsed warranty card has been signed and dated by a Canadian authorized agent. Although the factory warranty has now lapsed Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers includes a one year warranty covering all aspects of the watch the same as Rolex.

The watch shows some wear mostly in the form of small scratches on the bracelet and bezel but overall condition is quite good. This slightly less often encountered model 16623 has a retail price of $12600.00 USD. Our example is estate priced at $12000.00 CAD. Stock #e9441. December 26, 2015 Rolex Day-Date 18238 $17500.00 CAD.

E8979 The Rolex Day-Date; there isn’t another model within the line that sums up the Rolex experience. The ultimate expression of simple luxury and function. The basic look hasn’t changed since its introduction almost 60 years ago. Easy to read stick hands treated to just a touch of luminous material, day of the week display discreetly displayed in a gentle arch shaped cut out window at 12:00 and a 2.5 times magnified day of the month aperture. By far the most common dial of champagne with basic stick indexes is absent on this example. Instead a simple and beautiful glossy ivory dial with large Roman numeral hour markers help display the time in an effective classy manner. This combination is a personal favorite that never goes out of style. A better example of a 26 year old Rolex Day-Date you won’t find. Some evidence of careful cautious use.
