The stay was overall very good. We did have three small issues.
I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because of this. The first issue, we attempted to make dinner reservations at the in house restaurant Element 47. The reservation was made then the next day an email arrived explaining that the restaurant was 'bought out' for a privet event. The stages helped us find Steak House 316 (which was good but not as romantic as I had hoped for our 17th anniversary). I also had arranged a Fly Fishing trip, which a day or two later was cancelled because the Nell's adventure staff was closing for the season. They did arrange for a trip through another vendor. Lastly we paid half our expected stay upfront then a week prior to arrival I was expecting the remainder to be billed.

I was, well shocked to find I had been double billed. The staff upgraded our room in effort to make it right. The room was very nice, extreamily comfortable and well kept. The location was great at the base of Aspen mountain, the grounds were very meticulously maintained and the staff extreamily attentive but not intrusive during out stay. Overall I would recommend the little Nell. This is absolutely one of the best hotels in the USA.

I have stayed at many of the 5 star hotels in America and this one is top 3 if not number 1. The best aspect of the hotel by far, is the concierge.
Going to Aspen is an experience and their concierge have worked with the Nell and the town of Aspen for years. You can ask them anything and they will be able to provide a proper experience specifically for you. I was more adventurous and my girlfriend not so much. We had an entire itinerary planned when we got there. Hiking, Hot Air Balloon, Dinner at 5 star restaurants we are used to in New York and LA. The room, the food, even the doormen and drivers are a 10! We are going back next year!
The hotel staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Details were paid attention to before we arrived; including putting a toddler bed in the room for my 2 year old, with soft blankets, sheets, pillow and a stuffed fox. In the bathroom, there was a special wash mitt for a toddler along with bubble bath. The in-town complimentary shuttle was extremely helpful, and the staff were always friendly and on time. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room in great detail 2xs per day, and it was nice to have a soft carpet on the floor with a toddler. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The fresh hot apple cider between 3pm and 6pm was another bonus, but we didn't pick up on it until the end of our stay.
The only slight downfall is on top of paying a premium room rate, was having to pay daily for parking in their garage, and an additional resort fee. The pool was a bit chilly, but the hot tub was just the right temperature.
It was nice to have free non-alcoholic mini bar, however we are not soda drinkers, so it wasn't too big of a perk. Business Statistics Levine 6th Pdf.
