Click to expand.I'm not sure why, but I can't get Kontakt to recognize EWQLSO or Stormdrum. I point to the folders that have the instruments and samples for each, but Kontakt says something along the lines of 'No library found.' These are just copies of the original folders from my G5. In other words, when I upgraded to an Intel Mac a couple years ago, I just copied all the samples from my G5 sample drive to my Intel Mac sample drive. Kontakt *does* recognize various other libraries (Chris Hein Horns, RA, Colossus, etc.) It's just that for some reason, it's not happy with EWQLSO or Stormdrum. I did pay to keep the Kontakt licenses when I upgraded to the PLAY versions, by the way.

Jon, hopefully you'll get this figured out so you can tell me what to do.:mrgreen. Yep, that's the process I went through. It couldn't find EWQLSO, though. There's probably some file missing that I didn't copy or something. Maybe the nkc or nkx files.

As I look through the various folders for the libraries that DID load (Collaosus, RA, etc,) they all have special.nkc files. Yet my StormDrum folders do not. (I deleted EWQLSO, so I can't remember what was in that folder.) Interestingly, unlike with EWQLSO, the NI Service Center DID recognize and let me register Stormdrum. It's just that when I try to load an instrument, it keeps saying it's unregistered.

*Note: For Kontakt newbies,.nki means 'NI Kontakt Instrument,'.nks means 'NI Kontakt samples,'.nkm means 'NI Kontakt multis. I don't know what nkx or nkc stands for. That worked like a charm for me!

Thank you very much Pietro & Gerd!! Now I just need to figure out how to get the latest Kontakt version of Word Builder.

Hopefully I can find that somewhere. Mike, my stormdrum has both.nkc &.nks files.

My guess is the.nkc is the copy protection part of the equation and probably need to be there in order for it to work. Interesting enough, I cannot find any.nkc in the actual install CD's (my libraries are on separate drives so I didn't need to re-install, I just needed to authorize it) so this is a bit concerning. Maybe the.nkc's are only available if you run the old authorization manager, though I'm unsure if its even possible on modern intel macs!! If you find any further info please let us know as I would like to know how this all works for the future. Yep, that's the process I went through. It couldn't find EWQLSO, though.
